The Leave campaign told lies, pure and simple. They made claims that's they've since back shuffled away from.

How anyone can simple brush that off and say that it was of no consequence is beyond me, the same people ironically who were pontificating about the power of democracy.

If political ads still had to go through an advertising authority as they did pre'99, then most of those ads would never have made it into print, as they were misleading and downright untrue.

... he's my other half's cousin ... she and I are not married ... therefore he is not related to me by blood or marriage ... not the first time you have been proven to be wrong on this thread tbf :) ...

... and if you think he is 'far from typical' in terms of why he voted to leave, you are seriously in cloud cuckoo land ... or Barmpot Boulevard to use the vernacular ... the referundum was ultimately decided on a mixture of celebrity, scaremongering, false promises and xenophobia ... not because all voters took the time to listen to in depth economic debate and intellectual reasoning <doh>

So the words "Let's give our NHS the £350m we give the EU every week" are merely 'potentially' misleading?

No, it was a blatant lie, and completely misleading

How is it all history when it is still on going and will continue to be on going until we finally exit the EU, this two year process hasn't even started yet, and then for a long time after that. If you thought that everything would be over the day after the referendum you sorely misunderstood the situation I'm afraid...

Custard, it very clearly implies that this fictional £350mill p.w. Could be spent on the NHS. Or, as I said earlier, why mention the NHS in the same campaign message on a totally different subject?..

Or even why mention £350m a week in the 1st place as they knew full well it was balls?

I never thought anything of the sort. Why do so many remainians feel that they know what everyone is else is thinking better than they do. That attitude is a big part of what people voted against, so the more bleating and pomposity, the stronger my belief that the country made the right decision.

I'm more than aware how long it'll take. The bollocks and whining about a claim in a leaflet is history, everyone knows that the exaggerated claims by some are as meaningless as things like the warning of ww3. Feel free to drip on and on about it, it will change sod all. The elected members are busy getting on with things on our behalf. <ok>
