Isn't it amazing how some clubs can be run so differently. To think, if they're doing this on purpose, somebody actually thinks leaking info is a good idea.

Plenty on the Chelsea message boards about Conte's preference for small squads. Probably means lots leaving on loan again but some of the more experienced players/established internationals like Remy, Atsu, Van Ginkel, Moses, Omeruo, Marin and Bamford are expected to leave permanently.

Only mentioning as we have been linked with Remy recently (and probably 3/4 of the others over recent seasons)

None of them are any good. Remy was close to joining Fenebahce before the trouble started. We aren't interested as far as I know.

 

Still talking to Pied despite what the press say, so maybe him, but will probably be another guy out the blue.

 

Moses had so much potential aswell , didn't quite turn out to be the player I thought he would.

 

Not bothered about Pied, still don't no why were even talking to him. Yea, its bound to be some unknown who we have gone under the radar and snapped up.

 

I don't really think it's a media strategy. Just people who like getting attention from journos to feel important.

 

Should just say the rumours about Clasie. I was told that we aren't sure about him and is 50/50 about getting rid. I emailed DTLW this over a week ago. I can easily see us giving him another season though.

 

Clasie definitely needs another year before he can be judged with any degree of certainty. I think for all players new to the league it takes about 2 years to really see if they're up to standard. Obviously if they are absolutely dreadful in their first year then it can be clear, but the likes of Clasie and Cedric could well be much better this season.

 

I actually thought Clasie was poor last season. Hardly influenced games...the one game where he was superb was home to Arsenal, shackling Ozil but that's not really his role. I hope to be proved wrong next season though

 

Would rather see JWP on the team sheet than Clasie, I don't really see what Clasie brings to the side as a starter . He's good enough as a squad player and Id happily keep him. JWP's all round game is much better though , and set pieces are top notch.

 

Disagree with you both. Clasie is best when he is almost invisible. He links play from defence to attack about 10 times faster than anyone else in the side. When he plays we transition like a team which wants to score; when he doesn't, we look pedestrian. He never has the ball long, and that is what makes him special. He also tackles like a terrier. Underrated little star, imo.

 

He shouldn't be invisible. Nobody can say Kante was invisible last year and if a terrier is what you're looking for then I would suggest he's the mould to look at...

 

I think there are some people on this forum that underrate him, but also some that overrate him. Does that help?
