Nothing is happening in September. Put yourself in their shoes - why would you buy a club then knowing you can have literally zero impact on the squad until January. By that time, we might be as good as down. They want the deal now so they can invest now and ensure - as best as possible - that their investment is safe.
Buy in September when the club is at its cheapest, give manager and players assurance of funds in January and improve morale?
Doesn't say that, is says the following, which is the away kit will be available for pre-order on that date. The Tigers’ new 2016/17 away kit will be available to pre-order from Monday 25th July, when the new home kit and new club-record sponsorship deal will also be revealed. It will be available for adults, juniors and infants. Read more at http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/...7-away-strip-3184780.aspx#cQiGOME7G1cRcbAs.99
Which part of "When the new home kit and new club record sponsorship deal will ALSO be revealed" did you not grasp ?
Either RH have got it wrong, or they've brought it forward a week (though there's no mention of anything being launched today on the club's social media).
The club have said they will re-commence negotiations in September. So they will have to tell us if there is anyone to negotiate with. If the Americans have walked they could pretend that they are still around but they couldn't do that for long. Even the burglars eventually realised the little kid was home alone. So something will be happening in September even if its an announcement that they couldn't find a good home.
Yeah, when I said 'nothing is happening' I meant the sale isnt going through. I didnt literally mean nothing is happening.
I've got no idea whether the sale is going through. The club have said the negotiations start again in September, OLM has said the Americans have walked. Its not long to wait until we find out.
I think the latter as they were offering more than the asking price. Bit silly unless they were only offering slightly more.
Well if the Allams were Guaranteed to get the price they wanted or more, but not all up front, well they are a pair of ****wits then, as now they might have to chase or settle for a smaller offer, a much smaller offer if it looks like we will go down
If the buyers did not have the money to pay in full up front, would they have had more funds available for transfers this window, than Steve Bruce has now? The process for buying a club can take quite a while. Up to 60 days. The owners and purchasers negotiate and agree the basic terms for the acquisition of the club. These are usually set out in a heads of agreement (non-binding) document. Conditional on completion of satisfactory due diligence by the buyer. Heads of agreement are signed, the seller supplies financial, operational and legal information about the club and its business. The buyers review the information in detail . Following the due diligence, each sides legal teams will prepare and negotiate the Sale and Purchase Agreement, detailing how the share transfer will work. After due diligence and an agreement over the sale documentation is agreed there is completion. The new owners and directors of the club have to satisfy the Premier League Fit and Proper test before the takeover is approved, if we were still in the Championship this would be done after My question would be, what stage where/are we at with any sale? I do not think the club have signed a Heads of agreement yet, if the the price and payment structure is still unsettled. Some due diligence may have taken place, but selling a football club by installments is a risky business.Just look at the sale of Reading to a Russian in 2013/14.
I'm guessing the main stumbling block is the fact that we're in the window and we need to sign players in the next few weeks. Without additions SB would walk. If a deal was agreed then it would still take some weeks before ownership changed. If the Allams spent money on transfers/agents in the meantime they'd want that back in the selling price. If players were bought but transfer fees were deferred then the buyers would want full control of players they were signing. So stalemate. Moral of the story is : Don't try and sell a multi-million pound valued football club whilst the transfer window is open.
Transfers never seem to be up front nowadays it always seems to be installments over several years. Everything in football seems to be on the never never. I'd be interested to know if this is typically how club takeovers are done too? So for instance when Xia took over Villa did he pay 76K upfront or is it staggered? In other words are the Allam's expecting something out of the ordinary here? If I had to guess, and to be fair I've nothing else to do, I say most were staggered.
