    Did you notice that Muldoon played centre midfield in the first half at Welling. He needed a lot of cajoling from Slade and his assistant. He looked a bit lightweight to me, but knowing the Regime's thinking I am
    sure Ollie is going to get plenty of game time this season.

    It must have started to dawn on Slade that his "verbal assurances" are about as credible as Jeremy Corbyn's policy on Trident.

    In Pope, Teixera, Bauer, Cousins and Lookman there was the nucleus of a promotion side.

    We will be left , like Old Mother Hubbard, with a bare cupboard once the assets are stripped by RD

    As @ForestHillBilly says , there will be f*ck all left to strip from now on

    Cardiff fans on Twitter said that Slade's sole remit at Cardiff was to get 12m off their wage bill.

    Hence him being brilliantly qualified to get Charltons monthly wage bill down to 2 and sixpence

    Nobody really believes Slade is here to get promotion, do they?

    If it starts horribly then the fans will jump on him. No one in the club is safe from scapegoat territory. Jackson possibly not - but any more interviews of him praising new mangers will fall on deafs ears

    Jacko's comments last week about happy faces at the training ground reminded me of Karel's when he took over - remember his classic about all the players smiling <doh>

    I think it is all set up for Lookman and Texeiria off by the end of August and open warfare resumes with the protests.

    These people are a disgrace, how the f*** someone has not pinged squirrel face's nose I'll never know.

    Same mistakes as last summer. Two weeks till the season starts and we've shifted focus on signing players, to selling them.

    JBG turns in to crofts (lol)
    Pope money goes on Foley (LOL)

    We could have the slowest team in the history of football this season. Imagine Crofts and Jackson starting together - nauseating.

    we're f'd. our first 11 now pope and JBG are gone is probably the worst team we've ever had since the days of pawell abbott.

    we have no ambition to get promoted. the ars3holes are asset stripping while still blatantly getting the naive and gullable to splash out on new ST's because they've told them "they've changed".

    the only thing i would consider a success this season would be for roland to snuff it (or sell up). and KM be deported for being unqualified foreign labour.

    Just saw a Tweet from the Mirror saying that a fee of £1.1m has been agreed for Pope.

    I think this is a massive shame, and another massive kick in the bollox for the real fans who believe in our youth policy.

    Henderson is a decent keeper but very injury prone, so no doubt another really exciting Div.3 journeyman will be brought in as back up.

    Can everyone see what is slowly happening here?

    The fans are being cynically shafted, and it's now quite blatant. By the time the season begins there will have been a build-up of anger over Roland's asset-stripping, and the protests will carry on where they left off. Slade has also been shafted, but he should have known better and doesn't get any sympathy from me. Anyone who takes up the manager's job at Charlton should know better.

    the pope sale defines this regime - anything that becomes worth anything will be gone. they'd sell the seats at the ground if they could.

    i dont know what else there is to sell now. everything pre-scum that was worth anything has been got rid of. we're going to be left as a barren carcass when these morons finally decide to go.

    I'm seriously worried about our CM positions- Jacko bless him has been average for 2 seasons and our only other alternative is Ba FFS plus promoting from the youth.
    Jacko will only be able to do it if we have 3 in CM this season IMO.

    Muldoon will get plenty of game time in CM this season <cheers>

    It looks like the so called "investment" this summer amounted to little less than £1m <laugh><laugh> - undisclosed fee for Ajose, 400k for Holmes and a signing on fee for Novak.

    If Pope follows JBG and Cousins out the door today, that will be about £4,500,000 received in transfer fees so far this summer
    <whistle>

    @DonCorleone

    Interesting news about Holmes, because the rumour was we paid £400,000 for him.

    The Club also liked us to think that the fee for Nicky Ajose would rise to £850,000 with add ons (like 50 England caps) - a Swindon fan let the cat out of the bag, it will be 500k max.

    Whatever way you look at it, Roland is over £4,000,000 in profit if Pope goes, so where has the money gone Mr Asset Stripper?

    It was, but either the SLP or newsshopper had a piece on him and 140k was the figure they quoted. Pretty sure Colon came up with the 400k figure.
