If i was an everton fan I'd certainly be a bit baffled right now. Every other club who has been taken over by a so called money man willing to chuck money around , signed players for stupid fees almost instantly. Everton have signed steklenberg .

Less than 4 weeks to go and counting, I hope they sign **** all, that would be brilliant!

Well you could look at it another way. Of all the billionaires who have taken over football clubs we get the one which tells the club to run itself sensibly. So we don't do the 'amazing' deals, nor pay the salaries that other clubs do. Yet our billionaire is richer than most of the others. Hey, I'm not complaining, just making the observation. Katharina wants the club to be run sensibly and that's a noble thing. I think Markus might have had a bit more fun with the cash occasionally though.

Maybe Everton have another one after all. Where's that £100M.?

 

As I remember, Eusebio never did make a fuss. Ever. He was often kicked by all his opponents but just got up and got on with it. That's the most fuss I ever saw him make right there in the video - pushing people away when they come along to protest on his behalf.

True, but the whole feel of it was Everton going " were the new billy big bollocks" and they haven't even done **** all, which I just find odd. Even with their " money" I can't see them attracting any major players.

 

I am surprised yet again by fans of so called "big clubs" going nuclear over signings. Everton fans have demonstrated arrogance and imo stupidity in spades after getting a smidgen of investment. If you ignore the fact that 100m is still peanuts in the PL this season, they seem to think that a club not playing in europe and with a solid mid table history will be a babe magnet equivilent to players and their agents.

After doing an ejeculation of we're going to rip this transfer market up the fans forums are in such disarray they've had to be shut down overnight because of the abuse generated by not signing someone yet.

I find most amusing the theory Koeman is not signing players due to his expertise in bringing on youth, apparently we have a crap youth setup here in the sticks. They are brimming over with talent, which is why he went there.

I'm sure they will spend more than us this year but ffs they need a little perspective.

They do have 4 or 5 very good younguns that are pushing for the first team, whether they get a chance is a different matter. Stones leaving can only be a good thing. - 50 mil and the guy is a liability, but it's getting close to the new season and the better players that will make a team better would prefer to go a bigger club. I can see Ron's move to Everton turning out like Moyes to Utd

 

Agree with this assessment; whilst Everton have the cash; they are trying to compete with established top-four teams and not convinced RK has the pull to bring in these better players. The comparison to Mayes/Man Utd seems a fair assessment to me.
