I'll wait until this is reported on the BBC or Sky Sports News before I start flapping like a pigeon in a lift. Just don't buy this crap anymore.
Update; Moyes has just been seen stumbling out of the Swan & three signets, pissed on a smack head and kicked a wingmirror off a VW Tiguan before dissappearing into the Marriot car park singing **** off Adam Johnson.......
****'s sake, David ****ing Moyes He should keep us safe I guess but the football will be ****ing dire. There's so many decent, progressive managers out there at the moment looking for work... Pellegrini, De Boer, Rudi Garcia, Biesla, just off the top of my head.
He'll have a shelf life like Big Sam. Let him lay some foundation, then give him a picture of a spitfire and send him on his way.
Moyes did a great job at Preston and Everton. Can get the best out of average players and not bad in the transfer market....sounds just what we need if Big Sam gets his dream job.
This made me laugh. A thread on rtg. Every day this drags on is another day we don't waste yet more tens of millions on players like Fletcher, Graham, Altidore, Scocco, Lens, Coates etc. This has been our best summer transfer window for about 5 years
Just as a side note, a lot of comments on here regarding how **** Moyes is/was when he was in charge of United, the majority of them I agreed with. If he brings Steve Round with him, be prepared for one hell of a miserable season. He'll clear the decks and pretend he's bringing in a team of proven winners, but what he's actually doing nobody knows, not even David himself.
Hey, I got it in bucket loads when he was our manager, it's always best to be prepared. I'm sure there's a good manager in there somewhere, just cross your fingers he doesn't bring Round with him.
Round was at Everton too wasn't he? They may not have been pretty to watch but they did OK. As long as Moyes doesn't tell Younes Kaboul to watch videos of Phil Jagielka!! Edit: He got sacked from Sociedad didn;t he? Hopefully it'll be that his management and football style didn;t suit the league rather than him just being found out as a **** manager!!
I think Moyes is a well proven manager at our level. Because he "failed" as the 1st person to take over from SAF is slightly unfair IMO.....anyone taking that job was on a hiding to nothing. To me that was a punt that went horribly wrong by the ManU directors. Not sure what went wrong in Spain, but for clubs like Everton and us, he would be a great choice.
He is a good manager, he probably would have made a better fist at the United job if he didn't come in and dismantle a perfectly good coaching team without even looking at them. For that reason, he's a chopper and deserves all the **** he gets.

My brother once told me ( he was involved with premier league team once) when a new manager arrives there will be those for and against him. The new guy has to make a quick call who he can count on and those who are just tossing it off...his words not mine. So unless you have an inside track on what actually happened when he took over, i'm assuming that he took the view he needed people he could trust around him and not some of Fergies "yes" men. Again, I don;t know, it was strange he made such big changes, but maybe he felt he didn't have the confidence of that backroom team. But to get back to my point, Managing Man U is a whole lot different to managing us. Moyes would be comfortable in our kind of environment, also he would come in and NOT be compared to what has been before.
He was advised by Fergie that the coaching staff there were of the highest quality, to stick with them and they'll get him going in the right direction. The players loved Steele, Meulensteen and Phelan and there'd have been much less upheaval that summer if Moyes had stuck with them. Instead he completely ignored Fergie and brought in coaches who were/are ****, and Phil Neville who isn't even worth a mention really. Fergie never had 'yes' men, he assembled some of the greatest coaches in the game under him, people like Phelan run the first team day to day, Steve Round is a yes man, he's the biggest nodding dog going, that was my only point so I'm not sure why you've decided to make the inference that I'm suggesting Moyes has already failed at Sunderland.
