After a little search all those racist posts come up from Rod Liddle's millwall postings. After reading them do you think they sound like him? They don't to me and I don't just mean his article writing. He often comments on his own articles and doesn't shorten words or type text speak in them. And how did he continue his career as he has if he had indeed written those comments?
Yes, as I posted, I hadn't seen that first time around. I am one remain voter who has posted time and time again against a re-vote or whatever. It is what it is. Several have too. I will however blame the result entirely if Saints have a poor Europa campaign. Clearly they'd have been confuse by the vote and whether we should be in or out of Europe I do think it's time this subject was left now though. Discuss what we do going forward by all means, but we should no longer be seen as people who voted remain or leave, we're in it together. Just ignore those that go on about it not being right. We've got to get in with it now.
To be honest I think this seems very likely. The way it failed so quickly and without (much of) a fight tells me that it's very much plausible. If it was his plan I reckon it's worked a ****ing treat as well, very worringly.
It's him, man. His denial is not very plausible. He claimed that his password was 'millwall' or something like that which was easily guessed, except that the rules of the site required 10 characters a number and a special character or something like that. The website admin reported that the site had not been hacked and that no one had reported suspicious activity on that account. Someone hacks into his account and posts a bunch of extremely racist stuff and he doesn't do anything about it? Doesn't change his password. Doesn't notify the admin. Doesn't post to the board saying "Hey sorry someone hacked my account. I'm starting a new one." Nope. Just keeps posting merrily away like normal even though over the space of months these offensive posts keep popping up with his name on them. At any rate, he owned up to making that Auschwitz post.
Because while he is undoubtedly a dick, he is always banging on about not liking racism at all while being anti mass immigration and the left are always trying to pin the racist tag on him because they can;t see the difference. While the Auschwitz one is undoubtedly his he denies other ones and a few are taken well out of context. As in if you take one post out of a forum you then have to look at what it was replying to. Most of those that have been put up on the net just don't look like him at all. He comments in a similar style to his article writing and as you would expect with almost exemplary spelling and not text speak.
He didn't need to own up to the Auschwitz one. He had written an article on it anyway with that comment in. Anyway. No need to argue. You disagree with me again. NP
It's not difficult to hide your style or personality on an Internet forum. I'm actually a nice bloke in real life.
Fair enough. I was talking about Rod Liddle and what a horrible person he is. If you are asking me if I have a problem with that line in that piece, or indeed the piece as a whole... no, I don't. I agree with some, disagree with some but not vehemently, don't find it particular insightful, don't care very much about who might be whinging on either side. He gets in a few good digs, and misfires on some lame ones.
Man, I wish it was only 30 degrees C here. Between the heat and the humidity the "feels like" temperature this weekend has been 40 C.
But my point was he doesn't write differently on other platforms so why would he on the millwall one. Anyway. I like Rod's writing, other people don't. We can leave it there.
