I thought we could have kept Paloschi, and used him off the bench next season as a number 2 Striker, but maybe he just wanted to go back to Italy, but I cannot see us going into this current season coming up with just Ayew up front....... PS: Paloschi was a hard worker, I'll give him that.
I'd like to see us sign a Defoe type striker along with a Bony type striker that's powerful, very good in the air and can bring others into play. Failing that, I'll settle for a striker that will just stay onside
I wasn't ! I can't see where people are saying Van Der Hoorn will be a massive success, only that he is coming here and we expect a certain degree of success with him, that is only getting behind players. And I'm interested in what you are saying 'paying for something where we know what we'll get' Can you clarify what that means? This guy has come into the centre back position, who do you have in mind for that position where we know what we get?
It will be interesting to see if he's a ball playing CB or not because I think we need an old school type defender in our ranks. Hopefully he'll be in the Vidic/Stam mold.
I don't think anyone can decide how good or bad a player is until they actually see him play. I have seen vd Hoorn being criticised for lack of awareness for the Kickers second goal. Positional play and awareness is something that can be coached and he is still a relatively young and inexperienced player.. Surely no one thinks he is going to walk straight in to the first team. and he has said himself he is hoping to learn from Ash
I'd rather not see a 3 man defence at all. That is my opinion, just don't like it and stifles us going forward. But lets wait and see.
With no foreseeable class striker(s) incomings I have had a stake at 4/1 with bet365,best odds others at 7/2,Swans to be relegated. I have said before and I shall say it again........Premiership club run by fukn amateurs.
Really? So we are in our 6th season up here and they are amateurs, can you explain for example Norwich who have come up twice and relegated twice in that time, are they completely incompetent then ?
It's not luck, luck would be if we won a game by an own goal for example. The fact is a season is over 38 games and it has little to do with being lucky to gain 47 points.
That a ridiculous thing to say, of course there are others worse than us, it's not lucky but because we are a better team, the ones below us were worse, the ones above better.
Thank God Trundle is still at the club If only we could find a version of Trundle that could cut it in the PL.
Ayew wont be here you can bet on it and siggs could well be gone also. Guildo happy with the squad and how the USA tour is going so im grabbing some of that generous 7/2 relegation price as it wont stay that price for long that's for sure....
