Yeah, seen it. Rather not have people posting Youtube videos of it here thank you. If anyone wants to see it, go to Youtube.
Yep, I did notice at the time. In fact it was indirectly the reason why I put up my cautionary notice.
Don't want to see it, but feel bad for any player getting that bad a break (from what people are saying). Who was it against?
Oh I didn't realize that Ba had gone out there. An issue, possibly, playing with players of lower abilities?
But if you're playing with players of lesser ability, aren't you going to get these clumsy challenges? I'd guess you'd know more about that than me, Fats!
Yeah same here. There didn't seem to be any malicious intent. Indeed, Ba's leg seemed to snap like a twig, so it was a very unlucky tangle. And to describe the extent of it, it was entirely clear that both the tibia and fibula broke.
The Premier League are clamping down - this is pathetic, as far as I have known I couldn't do any of these during a match anyway. Offences which could earn players a yellow card Visibly disrespectful behaviour to any match official; An aggressive response to decisions; Confronting an official face to face; Running towards an official to contest a decision; Offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures towards match officials; Physical contact with any match official in a non-aggressive manner; A yellow card for at least one player when two or more from a team surround a match official. New red card offences If a player confronts match officials and uses offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures towards them; Physical contact with match officials in an aggressive or confrontational manner.
I bet it's all going to still go on anyway. Surrounding the ref in rugby just isn't tolerated, quite rightly, too - it's just the captain and the player that the ref wants to talk to. I love the "could" in the header
Can you imagine the number of abandoned matches ManU would have been involved in back in the times of Keane and Co. I like this rule: Physical contact with any match official in a non-aggressive manner. So, be careful with that handshake. Go easy on the squeeze.
Pretty sure these are rules now which just aren't enforced regularly? Can see it being enforced slightly more if there is a new instruction to do it but still won't be all the time and the moronic pundits will go mental when it is and say "passion" is being lost in the game or something equally stupid.
Running towards an official to contest a decision; That would have done for Pelle....he was always dramatically running up to officials.
