Aye. You can bet that even if the deal is found to be still on there'll be those claiming they were still right, but that the Allams had to back down.
Absolutely? Deal done. Dead in the water? Sure? That's what I'd be saying if I wanted to turn the heat back on the Allams. Doesn't mean it's true... Are you saying that with knowledge, and certainty? Or just saying what it seems?
My thoughts for what they are worth. Broadly speaking one of three possibilities happened: The club have said that the negotiations will recommence after the window shuts. If the confidentiality agreement works both ways that would have been agreed by the Americans. As a deal hasn't been reached it would make sense that due diligence would continue to take into account the income and expenditure that takes place in the transfer window and from the sale of memberships, sponsorship etc. If the Allams don't want to sell and keep messing the potential buyers about they will have to tell Steve Bruce and us eventually. Finally the Allams want to sell but have screwed up the deal. The Americans have gone away hoping that a poor start to the season and the loss of Steve Bruce will see a reduction in price. The Americans tell everyone they've had enough, they've walked away whilst they wait for the Allams to chase them. If the Allams don't case them then we have the same position as if they didn't want to sell. They have to let everybody know and deal with the consequences. We will find out in due course about the ownership of our club. Its just a question of recognising that I have no right to know and being patient. Protesting at Hull City matches until we as supporters are treated with some respect is something that does concern me and something we can do something about.
Exactly. The Americans are hardly going to say we will keep coming back and give in as it just undermines their position. Walking away forces the sellers hand too. Which is why I am pressing OLM as to how he is so sure it's final.
Well I cant keep upping my bid can I? Especially when i didn't win the $500 million lottery this month.
They're completely pissed off with being jerked around, I'm surprised anyone thinks that people who can afford to spend £100m on a football club would put up with it.
But whats your facts to them walking away , obidiahs post was a lot more respectful from both sides yet yours goes down one route only .. unless you have facts of course ?
this should have been sorted quite quickly , Allams known what he wants for a long time , and since promotion , he should have a realistic value in his "mind" . I assume squirrels are nesting in that part of his brain , that talks have broken with potential buyers is of no surprise .
Not sure it's about taking a side. More that being utterly fed up doesn't always mean it's over in business. Even if it's over for now! Guess people just want closure and I doubt it's going to be coming
Surely if the Allams had wanted to sell they would have done it before now. After all the season is less than a month away and a City languishing around the bottom of the table would hardly be an attractive acquisition. I guess they're keeping it just to Pi$$ off the fans.
I've had dealings with very wealthy people, in my experience they very rarely suffer fools gladly, who can blame them for walking away.
Why would you? The As will keep the 'good home' carrot dangling Prospective buyers, if they have ****ed of, won't change anything by gobbing off , other than by making themselves look a bad PR risk to other clubs that they might decide to buy Silence...on this occasion...may turn out to be **** coloured
And behind all the **** they been doing with everything you have hit the nail on the head this is about getting at the fans, more or less up your's we will have the last word.
Dont be silly. Again dont be silly. This is millions we're talking about. Its always about money. If the offer was big enough he woulda sold. He's asked for more for whatever reason allegedly. Dont think he cant afford to run the club he can. He obviously doesnt have to sell.
Don't the thick tw@ts know if we're bottom come January their value of the club will have to be rethought?
I think it is! They're Arabs! They want to sit at the dinner table with big grins on their faces! It's all about money we've these two!
