I would hardly call it fake, Beef.

 

More and more evidence was that it was. Even some countries are questioning it. Erdogan was never in trouble it was just a small amount of army that were told do something by their generals. Some of the younger ones are even saying they were told it was a exercise. The ones that took over the airport actually left after the public walked up to them.

So it basically was a few soldiers made to shoulder the blame and end up dead so Erdogan can control everything. So in other words a fake coup.

 

It seems rather a stretch at this point to say that everyone was in cahoots and the whole thing staged.

But I could see how Erdogan might known more than he lets on, perhaps even set some people up knowing that the attempted coup would fail and end up working in his favor.

So not fake, but perhaps manipulated to some degree.

 

With over 200 dead.? No, somebody meant it. As ISIRTP says above, perhaps it was manipulated.

 

You don't think Erdogan would sacrifice 200 people for his own ends? He'd do it in a second. He'll probably kill twice that number in the next week or so.

Not saying I think it was fake, just that 200 people dying wouldn't sway me.

 

I'm saying that many/most/all [choose the appropriate] involved in starting the coup would have been genuine in overthrowing Erdogan. That excludes fake.

 

And I am saying they didn't. Just pawns used to get what Erdogan wanted. He has sacked all the judges that have stopped him doing stuff in the past. He has arrested generals that supported him when the "coup" happened.

It is all to easy to see the coup wasn't really a coup in the first place.
