Doubt you'd say that if you'd been on the recieving end of a tackle by Nobby.

I was sat with a mate last night , I'm not sure how many drinks he'd had before I met him,but he reckons we should sign mitrovic to replace Pelle.

That's a bit harsh I think, I'm not sure he's on that level of prick. Sure, he has a bit of a nasty streak but many have said before that we need a bit more of that in our team.

Plus Mitro is still young and could yet grow out of it (or be coached out?) Whereas Osvaldos career has been littered with incidents prior to, during and after his spell here.

Not convinced he's good enough to be worth the aggro.

I remember him kicking people but I don't remember him making a fuss about it. :)

I stand by that statement :)

My only concern, about Clasie last season, was his fitness. He can see a quick pass, and I have seen him hit some very good, first time volleyed passes, that I likened to passes made by Alan Ball, at the time.
I am hoping that a full pre-season, especially with double sessions, will wipeout the need to substitute him after 60 minutes every game, (might be an exaggeration), as seemed to be the case last season.
For me, the need to replace a player, because he can't get through a full 90 minutes, as a result of not being fit enough to compete at the highest level, is a waste of a substitution.

I don't know how people define a "wow" mom.

But I don't think Clasie is cut out for a blue collar DM role where he makes some tackles and then some safe passes to more creative guys, or just takes balls from the defense and quickly moves it on. He has too many other skills that it would be a bit of waste to limit him that way. And at the same time, there are probably better purely defensive mids.

He's primarily a box-to-box guy, but in today's game, a good box-to-box guy should be able to create at least one or two of what I think of as "wow" moments a game. A clever through ball, a well-weighted longball over the top, a quick interception tackle that he immediately turns into a counter, etc. They don't have to result in wondergoals, just something that immediately jumps out to me when I watch and that I remember after the game. Maybe my standard for "wow" is a little low?

I thought Clasie did well for his first season, especially considering he didn't get much of a pre-season. He was quite brilliant at times, which was enough to show me he CAN be really good in this league. But he was also rather blah often enough that I don't think it's guaranteed he WILL be awesome.

All I can say is so far, so good. I'm happy we have him, happy with what he's done so far, at worst he's an average PL player which won't kill us if he starts and would be excellent backup of Hojbjerg turns out to be the real deal. I don't think he's a nailed-on starter, although that's more a factor of our quality at that position and the fact that it's hard for a player to prove himself totally after just one year.
