I was at that game too...... But it has never entered my mind whether I should go to a City game or not !! **** team, **** manager, **** owners......it's all part of the package. It's never been a choice whether to go !! Maybe living overseas for a number of years has made me appreciate being able to watch City week in / week out.
Don't post often but always read. Really like the idea of turning our backs on the game. Instead of doing it on 19.04 or 20.10. Why not between these times singing city till I die? This would catch the attention of the media and engage those who wish to attend games but join in on peaceful protests.
What pressure can SKY apply to the Allams. The answer is none. They can't make him sell. As long as Allams keep City in the EPL than there is **** all SKY can do about it. The worst that would happen is that SKY would not show City home matches.
Continuous Mexican Wave holding red cards from minute 1 to the final whistle. Creates atmosphere while providing a visual protest. We could all shout "**** off Allam" as we stood up. Gets the away fans involved as well and creates a better nationwide understanding of our plight.
You could get to a point where the protest chanting continues throughout the entire game. 3 minutes - 3G Airco Arena farce 5 minutes = £5 Allam said he would charge supporters to get in 10 minutes = £10 he also said he would charge supporters to get in 19 minutes = 1904 CTID. 20 = 2010 when they took over. 25 = 25k at Wemberlee 30 = £30m Allam had to spend on the ground to increase the capacity Half time - have a rest - your hands for clapping and throats for chanting will need the rest to continue through the second half ..............
Will you make it well supported enough? Apart from giving up your free seat what else have done? How many accurate stories have you got your journo buddies to print? How many inaccurate stories have you got your journo buddies to correct? When have you used your journo influence to get the press interested & on our side? What protests are you organising? I may be wrong but it appears you have a lot of mouth, a lot of the big "I am", a lot of criticism to aim at others' efforts along with being dismissive of different views regarding attending games & in game protests. I don't understand how somebody can Lord it over other people, demanding more from supporters, when all, it appears, you've done yourself is give up a seat you never paid for. I know you'll come back with a load of bollocks regarding giving your time for free, but that's what it is, bollocks. You have not given up a seat you paid for. FACT. Cockwomble, is how you've come across in this thread.
Sadly, there are a majority who will be attending, irrespective of ownership. Some appear to underestimate that. I don't want to be sat near any of those people because i'm not mature enough to not punch them in the head . I don't have the emotional wherewithal and no longer have the strength to support my lifelong club .
the red cards were excellent - just a pity so many were made into planes and thrown about - these things cost and someone has to pay of course - red cards all around the ground for the tv cameras will make sure the protest goes global on the opening day of the season
Might have already been mentioned Wont fans of Leicester City etc know whats going on when they have had to cough up full adult price for kids when coming to the Kcom
Judging by some posting on this thread we've never had such a bunch of hysterical, over reacting hissy fitting fans ever.
Maybe a chant like when Marlon King came back? Instead of "She said no Marlon, she said no," "We say go Allam, we say go".
Visual every time. The game will be covered globally, so sports editors worldwide will be looking for pics from this game. Red cards were done at relatively meaningless Brentford night game, but worldwide scrutiny of this one will be x100 of that game. Chants are in one ear out the other and float away on the wind, as commentators worldwide talk over them and they have no idea what's being sung. To sum up: in the ground, during the game, VISUAL. Red cards for me, ideally with a large stars and stripes draped over the front barrier of the East Stand, throughout the game.
