Yes, but most people stopped regarding the Old Testament as a literal instruction handbook in the early 17th century.
Controversial? You can see this behaviour everywhere, everyday. It's the fact that he's nailed it which hurts some. Note, he's not criticising these people's opinions but their 100% conviction that their opinion is the only possibly correct one and should be treated as such, to the exclusion of any alternative. Awkward!
My brother is born again...I found drugs, he found god, each to their own, however I still take immense plrasure in moving his copy of the Bible onto the bookcase next to the harry potter and lord of the rings books, as is appropriate in my eyes. He now checks before I leave his house.
Anything that can damage the foundation of a person's belief is controversial...truth can be scary for some
He's my younger brother so knows all about sibling cruelty. My older brother has a spider phobia...I made a healthy income from him by planting the biggest, hairy legged spiders I could find in his room, and rhen charging him to remove them when they came out. My little bro had it easy and still does.
Oh the glorious irony of that article. I read that and found it quite funny too. I could just imagine that being delivered live and I agree with a lot of the comment about the reaction of some remainers (I voted remain) What made me laugh the most, was the reference to "bed wetters" as I thought this was wrong to call someone that if they didn't like an opinion, but even funnier than it all, was the irony of his own bed wetting at the smoking ban... Presumably because as a smoker it went against he wishes. So Ron, funny article yes, but a lovely ironic hypocrisy to finish it, which just proves you are right but as bad as the rest of us
One of those cheeses where you are not sure they are off or are meant to look like that. #pickonfatsday
I didn't take it as that, just liked it as an opposite to bed wetters. I haven't stomped on Brexit; I leave my foot stomping to matters Southampton
