One is out of work. One is employed by a club that finished above us.

Free managers are usually free for a reason.

What about Van Gaal? He'll get you firing on one cylinder.

It feels like each day is a wasted day.
Had Sam been staying there would have been deals in motion but because nobody knows what's happening were in limbo.

See I'm the opposite, I think it matters, good chance he'll struggle to get signings in as the price goes up as the window goes on. So with the players he's he has to keep us up. It needs the right man. Agree it needs to be asap but it's not like the FA aren't giving us enough time to prepare, we need to ready to pounce as soon as Sam goes.

I seen something that slightly relaxed me today. Ranieri took over Leicester on the 13th July and they won the league. So, I reckon, if we get our new manager in, within the next 3 days, we could still very well end up in the champions league places.

I think that's how it works.

Just thinking outside the box, there is one US coach that just might lead SAFC up the table. Caleb Porter built a soccer power house at little known University of Akron, where he won a national championship. Then he went to the MLS and won that after a few years at Portland, who cannot afford extravagent DP's. He builds his teams from the back.

I knew I was stirring the pot but I didn't think I was kicking the hornet's nest. Bob Bradley attracted some consideration on here last fall. Porter has young children at home and just signed a long term contract. He's more likely to replace Klinnsman than BSA, I truly know. But he is a proven winner with organizations lacking certain advantages. Just thought I'd plant a seed. He has at least 20 years left in his career. Perhaps some another time.

S! The US has much to learn and a long way to go in football, but the yank in me fosters an iron clad belief that world domination is inevitable.

I can see where you are coming from with this guy, maybe a couple of years in a European set up would be a bigger test for his credentials. In all sincerity I believe that Klinsmann is better suited to the England job, but Sam the Brit may be a better arse kicker.
