Allardyce flew back from Austria and Howe stays in the US. Something tells me the FA want Howe to replace Gary Neville as the no 2, and as we know, that means he can carry on managing Bournemouth as well, as Neville did with Valencia.
Belgian manager Marc Wilmots just resigned and with his advantage of managing at international level FA might look at him - if he will have us. On the other hand he could replace Sam here.
I'm afraid I've reached a Doris Day moment with all of this. Before it drives us mental I urge you to drop what your're doing, join and hands and all sing together ........

West Ham striker Diafra Sakho may decide to move to West Brom as Sam Allardyce's future at Sunderland is uncertain. The 26-year-old Senegal international is set to leave the Olympic Stadium this summer having handed in a transfer request at the end of last season. Sunderland have already had an initial £11million bid rejected by the Hammers as Allardyce looks to be reunited with Sakho having signed him from Metz in summer 2014 when he was in charge of the east Londoners. However, there are now question marks over Allardyce's future at the Stadium of Light as he is being heavily tipped to become the next England manager. In the meantime, Albion boss Tony Pulis is looking to bring in a new forward this summer and reports say he could steal Sakho from under the Black Cats' noses. It's thought Sakho would like to work with Allardyce on Wearside but does not want to commit to a move if he is then playing under a new manager when the new season gets under way in a month's time. Oh please god no. Probably one of the few people in the world able to fail so spectacularly with such a talented squad as Belgium have. He's dogshit, imo.
Duncan Watmore's dad(former FA Chief)Ian Watmore has just told me and I quote, "it's appallingly destabilising to Clubs to drag this out" So we've got people on the panel who don't have the best interests of domestic football at heart. That's bad for English football to have such arrogant ****ers pulling the strings. This could be weeks. We could start the season then lose our manager and not a thing we can do about it.
That is a possible scenario. Drags on that long. Start the season (4weeks today) then the FA finally make a decision and off he goes. What a **** on all this is.
I think we will end up with Moyes. Personally I am happy with that as long as he is given some time to sign players.
It was a big thrill for us to see the Spurs play the Fire a couple of summers ago. Danny Rose is an incredible athelete. Would love to see a Sunderland home game. Air fare is pretty steep. Definitely when I retire.
I am not too keen on Moyes, looks like he has lost his way, a bit like MoN, personally I would rather go for Pulis who is another safe pair of hands imo.
