There's no way any self respecting potential buyers will take kindly to sudden key being told they have to wait another 2 months. In addition, they know that even if they do but it in September the squad has to stay exactly as it is until Jan 1st. Well we might be effectively down by then and the club could potentially be on the cusp of being worth ****loads less. So basically, forget the September thing. It isn't happening.
That's precisely the point though isn't it? I am not ITK in any way, but I do have experience of some pretty big deals. This to me looks like the Allams saying that what's been offered would buy you a failing Premier League team, not one with untold potential, which you could buy now if you offer more or as has been rumoured meet more stringent payment terms. They may have misjudged it, but it looks like a negotiating tactic to me
A Premier League team with untold potential? That could be said of any PL team, all of who, except one other, play in their own stadium. Looking at what some clubs with larger grounds and more potential have gone for they should have snapped any bid approaching £100million up.
I don't dispute that at all and agree with you, but the club is worth more now than it will be once the transfer window closes, unless we've done some very good transfer deals already (which seems unlikely) and / or have more points than would be expected. 'Difficult to quantify' might have been a better term than 'untold'

The yanks are not stupid either. They are not going to bankroll any transfer funds until they own the club, unless they have a cast iron legally binding agreement they will own the club come September. Can you see the Allams agreeing to that. I can't they are too untrustworthy to paint themselves into that sort of corner. So we are stuck with this reported £18 million transfer budget which Bruce claims will not make us competitive in the PL. Next news to come out from club will be that Bruce has told them to stick their job where the sun don't shine and walked and if it is to another club rather than the England job don't be surprised come September if 2/3rd of the team have joined him.
