I mean,,,, which dozen fans? Also is this a ritual sacrifice that appeases the Football Gods and we then win the league? These are important distinctions.
Spot on. Some people seem to feel entitled to know every little move, or at least be able to imply they do, and assume all of the deal occurs around the table, but negotiations need give and take. It's not like kicking a car tyre and expecting a few bob off or some new mats. In the mean time, speculation is offered, that even if it turns out wrong, will still be clung to. Claiming it must be all down to the Allams is easy, but it doesn't mean it's accurate, or a decent thing to do. There's usually bits and bobs in the procedures. If things were as bad as some assume, I think there'd be more than a hint from the key players or maybe the media. Me, i say relax, it took tws ages to get rid of the nightmare that is Bates and replace him with their new chairman.
I don't really get why there are constant arguments about who our worst owners have been. It's like saying dying of Cancer isn't as bad as dying of Aids - they're both ****. In my 40 odd years we've had an absolutely piss poor shower of ****s running/owning the club. From indifferent to incompetent, to corrupt, to vindictive to god knows what. Almost certainly whoever comes next would have a way to go to be worse than most of them let alone all but being Hull City who the **** knows. For my money though I'll take the chance as I'm sick to death of these Muppets. Ellewoods - I like you thinking can I nominate a few for your sacrifice?
You usually post a load of obsessive tripe - but you've excelled yourself this time! Stop boring the pants off us with your one track anti-Allam posts and please - get a life! I agree that Allam is no Saint - but he's not the devil incarnate like you try repeatedly to make out!
By "no Saint - but he's not the devil incarnate" do you mean he is a lying, shameless, bullying, insincere, ignorant, intimidating, unscrupulous, offensive sleazeball **** of a human being but not quite Lucifer?
Whoever it is who's trying to buy us (Americans I assume), you gotta admire their resolve. Imagine negotiating something like this with the Allams. I just hope they want us bad enough.
[QUOTE="Irememberwaggy, post: 9469277, member: 1001688" I agree that Allam is no Saint - but he's not the devil incarnate like you try repeatedly to make out![/QUOTE] I agree the devil incarnate could probably learn a few things from Allam
I have this feeling that when they eventually go,they will leave something nasty to be remembered by.not sure what.but these ain't nice people
They are obviously very keen and committed to the deal. If I was them when Allams but in their deadline I would have said "fair enough, but we want an answer but Monday or we are off"
When I were there (vernacular), I think 'the fuzz' was a fairly common expression, and 'pigs' came into vogue after that.
