Not me took it from face book You tend to take things like that with a pinch of salt Although sometimes
Im not sure how long this will take now. I still hoping within the next 48 hours. If there's any suggestions of dragging into weeks then we perhaps need to force the issue with Sam. We can't influence the FA but we can't wait for ever either.
Surely if he is 1st choice and he has been interviewed - why is it not out yet that he's been offered the job? Why interview others? I have a sneaky feeling that Sam may not be in the drivers seat like we all think, and hopefully he will be SAFC manager for years to come. Sam cannot go public with anything until the "real" 1st choice has signed his contract - this could be a reason for the silence coming out of the SOL. And of course Sam will not want to say anything just in case he is 2nd choice. JEEZ!!! Of course this does not help us, and I hope the FA get their ar$e in gear soon. Bart
They haven't even interviewed Bruce yet. Forget 48 hours. Bet the FA will still have us waiting this time next week. The evil ****s have said they won't be rushed.
If, because of this situation, we cannot get any transfers in and it damages our pre season and because of these reasons we get relegated, can we sue the FA? We all agree this situation is very damaging to us, seemingly stopping any transfer plans we may have and leaving us in limbo for I don't know how long. If this is the cause of our relegation and we lose tens of millions of pounds then can we take the FA to court. Could the FA grant us a transfer window extension on the time they are messing about with our future. If they take 4 weeks to name the next manager can our window be extended by 4 weeks. I'll bet our relegation rivals are lapping this up.
I can see no reason hey we could sue them for what is a normal contractual situation. And you've already got us in a relegation battle, 4 weeks before the season starts? Haway man!
Have the FA ever given us a fair go over the last sixty years since our transfer misdemeanor in the late fifties, the answer is a big fat NO, can't see them changing now.
We need to reflect the inconvenience in the settlement request it think. We can't be accepting a comp package then try suing them, I don't think we'd win. No chance of getting our window extended mate.
This limbo we are in, at the worst time possible, is a nightmare, and all we can do is wait, and see how long this bunch of nit-wits take to make what seems to be a very obvious decision. The media have decided already from what I am hearing and reading, we should claim 40 million for this fiasco as I recon that is what it will cost to repair the damage done to our preseason preparations if Sam goes.
I never thought we would get an extension or be able to sue. It's just so frustrating this situation and the timing of it.
Well this thread will be funny if a new manager takes you through next season comfortably without any/many signings
The first team squad and some of the better young prospects have been training three times a day in Austria for the past couple of weeks. Sam has lost possibly two days work travelling back from Austria and being interviewed. So internally, I can't see a lot of disruption at all. In terms of transfers, one or two players might be hanging fire till he knows which manager he'll be playing for. But there was no guarantee we could sign two or three 'next level' players in the first two weeks of July anyway. Sam's still at his desk working on those, and I'm sure he'll be doing his best for us. So what is all this panic about?
The Bournemouth boss is on the FA’s shortlist of candidates to replace Roy Hodgson - along with Sam Allardyce and Jurgen Klinsmann. Allardyce held provisional talks with the FA’s Dan Ashworth and David Gill at the latter’s home last week and remains the favourite to take over while Klinsmann has also held discussions. But Howe is also regarded as a strong candidate and will meet with technical director Ashworth next week when he returns from Bournemouth’s pre-season tour of the US. .................. That last part indicates no quick solution to this.
