We might play an adventurous 2 up top. I still think we need another striker: Abel, Kanu Robson and someone like Ulloa at Leicester would be decent in my opinion.
Ironically, the season where he played on the wing was the one where he scored seven in the Premier League, I think he was actually played up from more recently.
Tons of people have scored past Cortois, don't mean they are all going to be up for a Ballon d'Or now does it.
Nor have I, so I am simply going off the stats. It does to some extent explain it. I am still underwhelmed.
Robson-Kanu is a massive upgrade on Diomande & for free is a decent option for us. We still need a pacy option upfront - I'm not sure Robson-Kanu is lightning. Looks like he's bulked up for his new centre forward role.
Not sure about Watford, I know Swansea were looking at bidding. £10m seems reasonable when you look at fees paid for Rhodes and the rumoured fee for McCormack.
I don't really get your point!!! I suggested Ronson-Kanu did one Cruyff turn and that it does not make him awesome like some people are suggesting.
Steve Harper would do us a good job short term. However if we can get David Marshall out of Cardiff for say £3m plus add ons that would be good business also.
You say it like it's a joke but I don't think it's potentially far wrong. As we stand today, we have to be HOT favourites to finish bottom. Every single other club in the division will be expecting to finish above us and if I was in their shoes I'd think the same.
I half joked, but I do feel you are 100% correct in what you say. I understand that on a free, he may hold some value to the squad (maybe), but he is not (in my opinion) anywhere near premier league striker quality. There is 20+ goals a season Championship strikers that flop on the step-up, so why people or Steve Bruce think this guy is the answer to partner Abel is beyond me. I can only think SB is trying to add to the squad to cover losses and use the quoted & measly 18 Million somewhere else. TWT, but I think he will bring nothing that we don't already have.
