    Pelle replacement can be taken two ways:

    1. Another striker

    2. Another big target striker


    We may not be looking for a Pelle replacement but we may be looking for a different type of attacking player.

    How can Liverpool ruin so many players and so quickly! Clyne is a great player and easily Liverpool level.

    If we play 4-3-3, I can see why Saints say they don't need another forward.

    Front 3 of:

    Tadic/another winger

    Long/Austin/Rodriguez

    Another winger/Redmond

    People seem to forget we played last season with just one real winger.

    Tadic is a five year contract offer.
    Long is a 3 yr contract offer.

    Barcelona not having enough money to do business in the transfer market and sign Clyne? Do me a favour ...

    Worst case, they just sell an old shed at the training ground to the local government for a couple of hundred million and call it "prime real estate". Job done.

    Perhaps they are looking at a winger/attacker who can also play the striker role. Two birds, one stone etc.

    It was partly tongue-in-cheek. I know now they can't get away with as much as they did but for the Clyne article to arguably suggest that they don't have much money available seems far fetched to me. Clubs like Barcelona are always swimming in cash and if for some reason they're not ... they find a way.

    If they were offered Clyne, I suspect they just politely declined. He's great in my opinion but I can't see him being a Barcelona fit.

    I really can't see us wanting to go into this season without another 'striker'.
    What with the Europa we need another option to Shane, JRod & Charlie and the Youth players aren't quite there yet.
    I'm amazed we did so well last season with only Shane & Grazziano available most of the time.
