Would Marshall really cost £6m? He's good but that seems a lot to me. It also raises the question of the supposed budget, would Bruce really spend a third of what was quoted on a player he didnt think we needed a week ago? We'd have 4 ****ing keepers then, 5 if you count Mannion.
If we can afford to spunk that much on a keeper I'd rather Krul, though I guess he's a bit injury prone.
His principle is right though for when he is fit. We shouldve set out our stall at the end of the season - list McGregor and make a new first choice the priority for the summer, keeping Jak and the Polish chap as back up. Done.
Sky Transfer Centre - HULL WANT 'KEEPER MARSHALL Hull are interested in signing Scotland goalkeeper David Marshallfrom Cardiff, according to Sky sources. Hull will be without Marshall's international colleague Allan McGregor until at least November due to a back injury, and we understand Marshall would be keen on a move. Marshall impressed in his one season in the Premier League with Cardiff and was close to joining West Brom last summer.
Hull City move closer to Hal Robson-Kanu deal Hull City have moved a step closer to signing Wales international Hal Robson-Kanu after holding further talks with the in-demand forward. Manager Steve Bruce has placed Robson-Kanu at the top of his summer wish-list and earlier this week admitted to being in negotiations with the free agent's representatives. A bid to land the 27-year-old progressed further when meeting with his father and brother yesterday and the Tigers hope their long-term contract offer will be enough to hold off the competition. Robson-Kanu's impressive performances at Euro 2016 have attracted a lengthy queue of suitors. A number of Premier League clubs, said to include Swansea and Watford, have declared an interest, while astronomic deals have also been proposed by Chinese clubs Beijing Guoan and Jiangsu Sunning. Reports have suggested Robson-Kanu could earn £100,000-a-week by becoming the latest player to head for the Far East but the former Reading star's preference is to win a move to the Premier League. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/hull...tory-29513945-detail/story.html#ixzz4ETFDJJYD
I don't rate Robson-Kanu, was average in a very average Reading team all these years. But wow, I dont care what other attributes he could bring, has anyone actually looked at his goalscoring record??? 39 senior goals. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hal_Robson-Kanu Free or not - No thank you
I did a Cruyff turn once a school, I dont think it makes me Johan Cruyff??? and neither does it make Robson-Kanu a good footballer.
Is this actual transfer news about Marshall and Robson-Kanu? None of that sort of thing on this thread ta.
But did you do a Cruyff turn evading tackles from international defenders, to then plant the ball past one of the best goalkeepers around in Courtois?
Some people are claiming he played on the wing. Obviously I've watched very few Reading game so I couldn't comment. Could explain his **** record though.
Reading did tend to play him wide, SB reckons he's better down the middle, that said cant see how he'll fit in with SB playing just one up front most of the time.
