Overwhelming apathy in my case. I thought that not renewing would be a real loss, but now that the new season is almost upon us I don't feel too interested in how Roland's Charlton branch of the Network get on. The protests don't appear to have had had any effect on Roland the Robot, so it's just a waiting game until he's had enough and gets out. What would bring that nearer, promotion or relegation? Who knows with this strange man.

Apathy was going to be my adjective when opening the thread. A couple weeks back there was a slight bit of excitement kicking in, but that's natural in the close season.

Right now - it's all a bit meh. I'm not even furious about the sales as we all knew they were inevitable. I want to support Slade as he is a likeable guy but not sure I'll bother much this season.

I am beyond apathy. They stole my excitement and passion about my club.

Did anyone read Cousins SLP interview? I'm a big fan of his, but he mentioned he would have moved on anyway if we wasn't in contention for the play offs last season - not sure how I felt reading that. He still has a fair amount to do before reaching there.

On the flip side, he's been surrounded by rubbish managers for the previous couple of years.

Reading between the lines, I think he's saying "I'm fed up being managed by these nobodies with their crap tactics that do not work. I want to work with someone that will inspire me and get the best out of me, someone that people have heard of and admire. I love the club and the fans, it's been my home for so many years, but seriously if you were being managed by a complete nob would you stay at your workplace, when your personal ambitions are in jeopardy? Of course you wouldn't, I don't know why they'd expect any different from a footballer. I'm sorry it has come to this, but I do hope that you get your club back and have a restored sense of pride in there."

He certainly deserves our best wishes. A certain 'fan' (I'm sure we all know who) has described him as scum. Flabbergasting.

Only one "fan" would say this, even though I haven't looked at that forum for weeks. All we can realistically expect from our players is that they don't let their contracts run down like Poyet did. THD congratulated Cousins on his escape, a bit like in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest".

Cousins Twitter feed was inundated with well done congrats messages from our current players don't agree with this at all.
Send him a text tell him personally but don't go on a public forum and say it.
What message does it send to us fans very wrong .
Cousins also described QPR as a massive club...it's not its QPR a club the same size as Fulham it's not Arsenal Man U Barcelona typical footballer talking nonsense.
As for the fee we got disgustingly low.
He was always goin don't know why we including him at Welling to be honest I wouldn't.
Decent for us best yet to come another reason why we shouldn't bother with an academy or if we do don't revel in it as its a meat market for other clubs to take the best steak and leave us with the offal.
Now he's gone couldn't careless about his career or how he does same re JBG .

No wonder the OS didn't want to disclose the fee. Not as big a give away as Gomez though. Now there's only Lookman left who's worth anything decent, wonder when he'll go?

Fan? If I'm guessing right, then that's generous.

The deal is humiliating and RD will surely ask why this player has devalued £1.2M In twelve months.

No wait - he doesn't care. He probably found it humorous somewhere. He made it clear in his acquisition of Truiden he's laughing at us.

KM and RM said that Roland puts £1m a month into CAFC. I don't believe this nice round figure is true, but if it was it would mean Roland has 6 weeks off from subsidising Charlton.

That figure is bollocks FHB! We are not losing 12m a year. Then again I can't remember her opening her mouth and not spouting bollocks.

And finally, people realise that the club hasn't been destroyed. And the squad is only a few players short on one which could compete in the Championship.

Some so called "supporters" have been guilty of posting complete nonsense over the summer. And as for CL? I might go back on there after we've won a few

The squad that got relegated by 10 points. Absolutely staggering statement. As long as we have moronic fans like this, the Belgians will stay. I genuinely can't believe what I'm reading.

Mr May also likes to boast how his site is full of football experts, whereas CL is full of people who don't have a clue.
You only need to read a few of the posts on that thread to see that's patently untrue.

Somebody advocates starting 4-4-2 against bury - fair enough, but the midfield 4 consists of 2 strikers playing in midfied and a winger partnering Jackson in the centre of midfield . What planet do these people live on??

Is this the same person as "Colin" on CL? He made exactly the same optimistic noises for most of last season. Has to be a WUM.

There must be some special deal for students. Concessions are still a lot more expensive for match day tickets. As an over-65 I'd pay about 40% more. However, as it turns out I'm paying exactly the same- a big fat zero.
