Beautiful City, great nightlife, bars, Restaurants, shopping, tranquility to be found in the most unusual places.. I live like a 10 min walk from Piccadilly in York, up Warmgate onto Saddler Street and bingo you are in the City centre.. We had Middlesbrough playing York in a friendly last weekend with a lot of fans from the skirting boards down here, the North East masses here for the races weekend and not a blot of trouble, it was very well policed but that's York.. So the moral is, that these lads have managed this.. http://www.yorkpress.co.uk/news/146...re_s_a_big_open_day_this_weekend/?ref=mr&lp=6 I am absolutely made up for them, sound people are always welcome in my world, I know a few of them, they are dads to a few of my daughters classmates and given the fact I probably lean to the right by 10 miles when it comes to this ****e, these lads have done a grand job..
Good move by them. Sometimes it feels like the whole Muslim community in Britain is being tarred with the same brush as ISIS. Totally unfounded, but I think a bit of PR like this might help. Good luck to them. By the way, enjoy your holiday in Philippines.
Thank you good sir, 3 weeks tomorrow, has to be though, life wouldn't be fulfilled without this visit, after 16 years, need to see the face behind the endless support and understanding, the lass has been a rock through my last divorce to everything I have now and experience over the last 7 years. I saw the opportunity, took it and now I'm flying many miles to shake the hand and hug what I call a true friend.. You have good ethics my man..
Got married in York, going up in October for a weekend. The wife absolutely loves it, so much history etc.....Oh and a new John Lewis has not long since opened up i believe?
Come home from holidays Thursday Going to York races 23 July Been before in the early 80s Looking forward to our day in York
Good stuff brother Joseph. It's the responsibility of the small man to show this kind of thing, mainstream media are happy to keep anything positive regarding Islam/Muslims behind the curtain. Of course, you being well in with them, will stand you in good stead for when you convert... Bacon is haram though, so best to get it all in now, as much as you can.
I would rather it be 200 miles further down south mate, Southerners don't know what gems are north of Watford.
You're right there. I used to live in Oxford and they were oblivious to the wonders up here. They still believe we are 100 years behind them in everything.
I always love a trip to York..Me and our lass are hoping to get there for a short stay some time this year, but easier said than done with a recently qualified student, two juveniles and a puppy at home..
