Any experts on credit ratings on here? I'm spitting chips at the moment - yesterday I tried to sign up online for a two-year deal on a mobile phone for my 16 yo son through carphone warehouse & heard back this morning that my application had been refused. I rang the company to ask why & was told that it was the provider EE who knocked me back due to my credit rating. Being an EE customer - landline, broadband, phone, mobile phone & TV - I rang them to ask why & they would only give me the same answer - credit rating. The only way I could appeal was to register with a site such as Experian, obtain a copy of my rating and appeal in writing - which pissed me right off and ended with me telling them I would be switching as soon as possible (not too sure to whom though, options here are limited) Out of interest, I registered with Experian's free site to find out my online score - it turned out to be the highest possible, 999. I'm now completely confused and don't know what to do next. Any ideas anyone?
I don't think he got that much football after returning from a bad injury, so I would think loan with an option to buy would be better.
My wife was once refused a bank account and it turned out they had mixed her name with someone else who had a CCJ against them.
Afternoon all, showers were forecast overnight so I put off the watering. They didn't arrive, so I have had to do it this morning. Tomorrow is the Fête Nationale so the population will use it to get together for celebration, nearly always with a fireworks display. Shame that England doesn't have something similar as it provides people with a day off to get together.
Sometimes your timing is just right. Reached my front door after a good walk in the sunshine just as a very black cloud appeared and began to deposit a considerable quantity of rain! Mrs H is off lunching so a beer and a read is on the agenda!
Afternoon all. Cranky day for me today - our tv died this morning, necessitating a sixty mile round trip for a replacement. After getting home and setting it up, I fired up the laptop - only to find it appears to have died too. Life is too expensive these days...
Morning all, the sun is in good form this morning and should be out all day. A day without work as we are taking our granddaughters out for a picnic and swim. Bad news from Nice. It is a lovely seaside town and attracts people from all over the world. My thoughts are with the families of those who have died or been badly injured.
I have had a lovely day out with my three young ladies and one not so young. Life goes on, but there is a feeling of shock and sadness here. There are many questions that need an answer about security, but today they can wait. It could happen in any country that tries to gives it's citizens freedom to live their own lives in the way that they choose. It does show that we need to support, encourage and help each other to defeat this type of evil, rather than say it is not my problem.
People hold life in such slight regard it seems - in Nice and Turkey people die for someone else's "cause"
Morning all, a lovely summers day in my part of the world, and hope it is the same for you. I quite like a shop when it is DIY, but basic food visits to the supermarket are an evil I could live without. A quick dash, grab what is needed, and away again is my best hope, but how often do I get near to the checkout and find a neighbour who thinks it would be good to have a chat.
