That's a serious problem now. It's clear you can't stop terrorism. There's just too many ways to attack.
I've already dumb yanks using this attack for their pro gun agenda, implying that we should ban all trucks etc...Totally inappropriate but this is seriously worrying.

I don't remember Nice being the capital of France.

Same with Orlando, pretty certain that isn't even the state capital, never mind overall US capital.

Same with the Tunisia shootings just over a year ago, they didn't happen in Tunis.

You do it via all the ways the public seem to hate right now... Intrusive collation and monitoring of information.
A lot of people think the state has too much access?

It's horrific and the sad fact is that it will happen again. History doesn't lie.

This is utterly appalling and there should be more done about stopping further attacks like this.
It doesn't matter how big or small the place is where attacks like this are taking place because wherever it takes place the media coverage is what they seem to want to glorify their actions. As someone has previously said. The things are happening more and more often and as horrible as it is. We are no longer surprised by such horrific events such as this.
Our thoughts go out to the families of the victims and our hopes of a speedy recovery go out to those injured.

Nowhere is safe, end of! But live everyday to the fullest, not like it's your last. Don't keep looking over your shoulder, but always keep an eye out.
It's a terrible World we live in, but don't live in a World of terror, just LIVE!

Was anyone else actually surprised that there was no attack whilst the Euros were on? And just being surprised by that shows what this world is becoming.

Security was ridiculous so I wasn't overly shocked.

The latest I've heard is that he was a French (Algerian - Muslim) living in France. It will be a while before we can criticise French security. BUT my guess is that it was ****. TWT.

Hull is also the UK city of culture.
I agree but if they doing such things as using vehicles then it's makes it so much harder to spot.

All can if they so wish get a licence and most UK citizens have. At least with firearms and bombs there are signs to look for. I'm 41 and on my licence I can drive a 7.5 tonner, that could cause one hell of a mess if I wished it too.

That was caused by you scoffing at someone's remark about fearing for Hull's city of culture year. It could happen in any city in the UK and the events next year certainly will make Hull a possible target.

84 dead, 18 critical, dozens more injured.

    Heartbreaking.

Junior went to Nice for a month last year, there but for the grace...

Just seems an odd choice of descriptive word is all.

So sad for a great country to suffer so much in such a short space of time.
