According to the derby evening telegraph, http://www.thisisderbyshire.co.uk/story-13054614-detail/story.html
And derby fans seem quite happy to welcome him... http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=181&fid=16&sty=2&act=1&mid=2116755470
Good pro, no future with us though, we have 2 LBs and 2 LWs and they're all younger (in Dawson's case not by much but he'd still be selected first)
I was talking to Dawson last night he was full of praise for the man u younsters he said the spirit is the best hes known for years and theres no induviduals out for themselves. He had special praise for Chester said no beats him even in training
Phil Buckingham on twitter: "Derby County are close to bringing in Kevin Kilbane on a six-month loan. No great suprise to see him leaving #hcafc"
He's a good professional Kilbane, he helped is by halving his wages and extending his contract. Bit old now but handy in this league. Good luck killer.
Terrific pro and a nice guy but he wasn't good enough for us when we signed him and he certainly isn't now. I'm genuinely surprised that he's got a Championship club.
Agree completely, I think he's now out of his depth at this level and would be much better in League 1 (as evidenced by his relative success at Huddersfield). Fair play to him if he goes but I'm much happier with him lining up for one of our rivals than I am with him playing for us
I'm a bit surprised he's got another Championship club, but good luck to him, he's a nice bloke, even if he is a bit rubbish.
Top, top bloke. He didnt go on the pre-season tour but there was no sulking or histrionics, instead he played with the kids and basically took it upon himself to coach and encourage them. Can you imagine a certain other player reacting like that? (Sorry, i really must stop bringing Him into everything....)
Killer is not rubbish, simply father time has caught up with him (not fast enough for this level) but his wages will be used to pay Ayala. Its good for all parties then. Dont expect City will alow KK to play against City though in Oct.
If we've got any sense, we'll insist on him playing against us. I accept that Father Time has caught up with him, but now he has, he's made him rubbish.
Good point on the playing against us. Both Stewart and Brady would have field days. As for KK being rubbish, surely its kinder to say that father time has slowed him down somewhat ?
Good luck to Killer, he's a decent pro and a good example of what a pro footballer should be like, even if he is now crap and past it.
Good luck to Killer, thanks for the unquestionable effort and commitment and thanks for helping us out financially when many other footballers wouldn't have, we needed it.
I think kilbane going heightens the probability that Ayala is coming in, it's another body lighter at centre half
He's not considered a centre half. if he was, we'd have used him on Saturday or at Winterton when we ended up with 3 kids in defence.
That's true, although with fewer subs he might have found himself on the bench with centre half versatility in mind however unlikely that might have been.
