Hull City’s Best Signings of the New Millennium

There's no wonder we have so many frustrated armchair managers on here: a lot of clueless choices on there.

I give you:-
Shane Long - great larker, and made us £6m
Robbo & Odders: the best is yet to come, but will either be sold at a big profit or give us great service
James Chester: a top Nigel Pearson/ Steve Walsh signing, who scored in the FACF for us
Rosenior (or Rose-noir as some know him): another great Pearson/Walsh find, who never let us down

 

Wow, why's that?

 

Chester and Rosenior could well be on the list. If Robertson and Diame do the business next season then they could be too.

 

One of the next three signings we make...

 

Erm, cos I like 10 players more than him.

Hard to disagree with the list above, however Jay Jay Okocha and Liam Rosenoir come close as well imo.

 

Elliot: one great season in League One when he he was unplayable at times and then....?

Okocha: one great pass at WBA and then?

193 games and 65 goals.

1 goal every 3 games, for a winger.

Deserves his place in the top 3.

 

29 goals in 2004/5, so 36 goals mainly in League 2.

 

Jesus wept, even Patty would think Elliott was a good signing.

04/05 = 29 Goals and our top scorer
05/06 = 7 Goals and our top scorer
06/07 = 5 Goals

Soccerbase has 67 goals - still pretty prolific

 

Green was a good player for a couple of seasons.

 

Do you rate him above, say, Robert Koren?

 

I didn't say he wasn't, he should still be absolutely nowhere near our best signings this century.

 

People think Elmo's understudy is one of the best signings??? Wow.

 

I liked Koren as a player, but yes Elliott would be ahead of him.
