I've always thought he was inconsistent with a bad attitude .... the Swansea supporters shed few tears when he left. He's not good enough to be as arrogant as he is.
Shevey is crap, inconsistent and a dressing room prick. Give me Catts any day, he may not be as an accomplished passer as Shelvey but Cattermole delivers way more consistency and protects a back four better.

Not blind to his weakness but he's a very good premier league defensive midfielder. Just because we've never managed to put a decent attacking fluent half to our team doesn't mean it's because of him as a few people have pondered(think Tel may have been one) I disagree with that, the reason we're crap going forward is because it's a very expensive area and the investment in attacking options has been inadequate for years. Nowt to do with Catts at all imo.
I'm not a huge Shelvey fan, after his bindipping days, but he's technically a brilliant midfielder on his day. His days are too few and far between and whether he can sort that out is only up to himself. Is he worth £12m today? I'd say no, but a team deep in relegation trouble, mid January, often pay desperate fees.
Way more. On consistency alone I rate him more than Shelvey. It's one thing that always puzzled me with the Sess lovers. Somebody who only turns up half a dozen games a season isn't worth the **** from on my shoe. It means most of the time they're being carried and few teams can afford that. Catts is never carried, he stands up to be counted and helps to pick up other up around him. The amount of time we've been proper **** and the Catts machine is the only one performing and ups his game even further to lift the crowd and team mates I've lost count. He's a warrior, a captain and dependable. Mini-me is a mouse. Bout time we invested in front of that position.
