He's not. Curtis is. He takes the armband when Dawson isn't playing. Then Jake/Thudd (I forget which one it is) is next. He isn't.
Nice shirt, but given the background of the name change fiasco, the omission of Hull City AFC for Tigers will mean I won't buy it. Shame really.
In light of the Tigers Trust being on the shirt (albeit temporarily), Amber Nectar tweeted this morning that they'd donate £50 to the Tigers Trust, if the club announced the home shirt in the name of Hull City AFC. I said I'd match it, Rick Skelton then said he'd match it, then several others, it's now up to about £400. If you fancy pledging something to the Tigers Trust, based on the kit being launched in the name of Hull City AFC, just tweet using #HullCityAFCKitDonation
It may not work from the UK but if you click on the link to the Hull City Shirt from the Umbro Sweden site your get a page not found error. Must be because the shirt doesn't say Hull City anywhere on it so the web developer didn't know where it went.... http://www.umbro.com/en-se/shop/football-clothing/hullcity201415/
I've let everyone in our Aussie group know, so it'll be good to see if some can donate a bit. Even if it's just 5-10 quid, it'd be really worthwhile, and might be one of the few ways to actually get the club to listen and join in. Even if it's a bit of tokenism, it'd be pretty heart-warming to see the club actually own our name and be proud of it.
Probably not, though thanks to your £100, another £100 from HCST and now another £200 from some bloke called Elliot, we're not far off a grand.
I'll probably end up donating an amount regardless, because while I disagree with the bloke offering 500 for not doing anything, he does have a vague point that charities shouldn't be held to ransom too much.
He's the biggest bullshitter on the whole Internet. No way would he actually follow through with that.
Oh I know, I guess I meant that if we're all pledging these amounts and then don't end up donating anything, it seems a waste of a lot of goodwill, just because the club doesn't recognise our efforts. The charity shouldn't suffer too much as a result.
He's already bottled it, he's said he'll only pay out if his bid is bigger than ours and we'd already passed £500 when he posted.
The word is spreading... The FSF @The_FSF Hull City fans challenge club to drop "tigers" from away kit launch PR - have raised £1,000 already. Good effort!
I preferred the dark shirts we wore as the away strip a few seasons back. This one is just a bit of a plain looking black, though the amber touches seem decent.
Albeit slightly inaccurate! Can imagine some neutrals thinking us odd for being grumpy with the club for using our nickname.
