Off Topic Where are you going for your holidays?

Sounds alreet that mind.

Wouldnt mind something like that.

I can sit on a beach in the sun anyday i want (yet hardly do). But that sounds a laugh.

 

Went wild camping in the lakes a few weeks ago, it's fantastic up there, so much to look at. I could easily do a week of that.

Has to be one of the best places to go to for getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it's like going for a body and mind MOT.

 

Sounds topper that mate, hope the weather is spot on for you.
The lakes is so unpredictable weather wise, when we go which hasn't been in a while we are fortunate to have been blessed with sun and shine.

 

We had a month, a couple of years back, driving through there, and ended up in the far North West of Scotland.

We went as far north as Scourie Bay and took the boat across to Handa Island ........ so remote it was actually scary.

 

It was the first time I'd used a map in years, looking at rivers and contours to find our way around, there was nobody for miles, completely off the beaten track.

Found an amazing little place to camp after walking for a few hours, right next to a little waterfall, complete bliss, until about 3am when hundreds of sheep turned up

 

Scotland is a beautiful country. But every year on hol as a bairn and then based there, i hope i nevet see it again. Unless its a fishing trip.

But its certainly nice to look at. Plus arbroath smokies are superb

 

I forked out for an adventure holiday there and part of it was working on a sheep farm for a day.

The farmer grabbed me and shaved me from head to toe ....... I felt like I'd been fleeced

 

Wasn't him that should of went to spec savers was it.

That sounds cracking mate you should have a great time me and our lass go wild swimming in the lakes and christ are they cold when you first get in if you ever get the chance do the Via Ferrata Extreme with your youngans they will love it. We still feel we are on a permanent holiday over here even though we have lived here years now.

Rethymnon is/was very nice.... A fishing town, lovely and quiet but plenty going on IF you want it.
I got sunburnt to **** on the first day (eyelids & armpits) as I fell asleep pissed with my hands behind my head.!
My missus never let me forget that I ruined the fortnight
