For the price of a match ticket, pie, programme and cup of tea Most Expensive - £44 for a Premier League game Cheapest - £17.50 for a Premier League game Most Expensive - £40.30 for a Championship game Cheapest - £17.30 for a Championship game Most Expensive - £27.80 for a League 1 game Cheapest - £16.20 for a League 1 game Most Expensive - £27.80 for a League 2 game Cheapest - £16.30 for a League 2 game Most Expensive - £29.20 for a Scottish Premier League game Cheapest - £21.90 for a Scottish Premier League game I have to say that after adding in travel, food and boozing the figure I spend on a match day comes nothing close to the prices published earlier.
That Premier League one is bollocks. Arsenal and Chelsea will be double that, easily. At United, the most expensive ticket is close to £60, £3 for a drink, £5 for a programme.
Jip jap - I was thinking that and supect that they've got it arse about face in the way the question is asked. i'm guessing that the figures are all based on the chepest available ticket at each club. You can get them for Chelsea and Arsenal for around the £40 - £45 mark though my mates who support the two teams tell me that getting hold of them is about as easy as meeting an interesting Swede.
Aah right, so it's the most expensive cheap ticket. Cheapest at OT (for members) is £26. It's ridiculous how much more it costs to go and watch a London club. You expect a premium for anything in London, but an extra 50/60% ?
It also makes Liverpool out as the most expensive of the lot, when that's pretty much rubbish. The only reason Liverpool are so high is because our ticket prices are the same for every game across the board. For example I believe there are only about 3000 of those available and you have to pay a huge membership fee or something to even be eligible for these tickets, so it's a bit disengenious (sp) by the BBC.
Traveling over to Glasgow for me to see Rangers costs £45 for boat & bus. £28 for ticket. Say about £10 on food and maybe about £50 on booze. Bus pickup 6am and back that night 10.30ish. A long ol day and quite expensive.
dont blame us, blame the owners, away ticket increase of about 80% and home ticket increase of like 40 or something
They've those got 2 clowns - Briatore and Eccleston - in charge though haven't they? A pair of idiots according to their fans.
^^ Yeah, I think it's Bernie that's behind this ticket thing though. And still they spend near enough nothing on transfers!!
woah woah woah, our 1.25M transfer budget is no laughing matter, although we're spending it all on DJ Campbell
Canny pic there, on the beeb. Should highlight away ticket prices in the prem. 52quid at Chelski, rumours of upto 72 quid this year at QPR. 44 quid for first game at Liverpool, which we've just sold out for. It's a ****ing piss take. please log in to view this image For me at home games, as a lad who likes a few sherberts with my mates it's expensive enough. £410 ST. £50-£60 Beer money, £20 travel and scran.
I had one when I went 3 years ago and some stupid African **** gave me the wrong one. If I'm paying £4, I at least want the RIGHT BASTARD PIE.
