    That's a really nice kit.

The 4 game sponsor and subsequent signing and auction is also quite excellent.

Oh what could have been :(

I suspect it was a Plan B having not secured the new sponsorship deal soon enough, regardless its a nice idea and I'd like to see us do it more often.

    I think you're wrong.

But I get why you and others would think that.

Like I said, what could have been.

The deal was done a week or two back, so they could have the new sponsor on the shirts for Friday should they have wanted, maybe it was all just getting a bit tight and they wanted to do the launch at their own pace, still it's worked out well however it came about.

Maybe I should rephrase, I know it was a Plan B.

Doesn't matter though, something positive has come from it.

Wasn't it in the press somewhere that as part of the deal the sponsors wanted to be at the launch of the home kit so 25th was the agreed date?

That's pretty much what happened, this was in always place case the deal wasn't completed in time.

Turns out they could have got the new sponsor on in time but were happy to keep it as which like you say has worked out well.

I think they should keep these sponsors on this kit, and have the new sponsors on the home shirts.

I know there's no chance of that though.

I do like that kit, and like the sponsor as well, a nice touch. I also love the fact that our home and away kits are both black and amber!

Yeah he came back last week I think, but he hasn't started training yet.

Odd they'd pick a fringe player to model the kit.

    Of course it's money.

I don't see a sponsor agreeing a deal where they only appear (theoretically) in half of the matches.
