Agreed. Ask Shaun Derry, Clint Hill, Bradley Orr etc. etc.. No brainer really. Despite what's been said, if we had to sacrifice a CB to get Puncheon, would've thought One Size would have been more appropriate than Gorkss.
Has it really come to this? A club owned by billionaires, who can only afford to sign flakey, inconsistent players like Campbell and Puncheon. Who, let's not forget, failed to keep Blackpool up. I'm going to quietly weep
Gorkss has been given a squad number we would be crazy to let him go,he is one of our bravest defenders cant remember how many times this guy has got a head injury not frightened to go in where it hurts dont think gabidon has that quality.
"Kaspars Gorkss going in the opposite direction'!? Whaaaaat? Why? If this Fernanadez fella is set to give Warnock a transfer kitty why would we want to lose one of our most consistent defenders? I don't get it...
When Gorkss was pushed into the video camera by a (I don't remember which) player, I almost got off my seat and went down there myself to hit the perpetrator.
shame about gorkss if rumour is true, pucheon yeh why not give him a go & not point slagging him off untill we see what he's like, routledge thats one greedy little plucker, he must have turned us dow good ridence.
Blackpool shipped 78 goals, the most in the Premier League, and scored 55, same as Spurs and more than Everton, Villa, Sunderland.......I don't think Messi would have kept Blackpool up....DJC was the 6th highest scorer in the Prem; he knows where the goal is.
Have to say i remain unconvinced. I saw him miss far more than he scored last year. I'd just like to see us raise our sights a bit. Won't Daniel Sturridge be available on loan again? If he slummed it at Bolton, surely being based down the road might tempt him. Altho seeing as what's going on behind the scenes, it's probably unlikely
My Millwall contacts say Puncheon was outstanding on loan with them and they were gutted when he went to Blackpool, I think he's worth a go. Wouldn't be too happy to see Gorkss go but you have to trust Warnock's judgement.
Well, looks like I'm going against the majority again, but I'm not that bothered if Gorrks goes! I don't agree that he's our best centre back. I think all our centre backs are pretty much on a par with each other........ none great!!
He has been given a first 11 squad number (5?) if that means anything anymore and playing tonight so not sure that NW would be looking to let him go
I'd agree that there isn't much between them, but Gorkss is the most consistant, confident and with best concentration. Who would you play at centre back then Col, assuming that they are all fit?
Probably Gorrks with Gabbidon, but I just don't think there's much between any of them. So if it was Hall and Gabbidon or Connolly and Gorrks or whatever combination, I'm not sure there'd be much difference. I wouldn't mind seeing Hill at centre back if we could get another left back in!!
Come to think of it Friendly, if this comes off you'll have to think about changing your moniker... 'Jason The Friendly Puncheon' just doesn't seem to have the right ring to it for me! You?
