"We will find a solution but it's not done," Klopp said after Liverpool's 5-0 friendly win on Wednesday night. "Obviously Joe Allen is a good player. We never doubted this. He played a good European Championship, like the whole Welsh team. "We have to make decisions, we have to find solutions. We have to talk to the player, ask the player and think about our situation. That's how it works." Don't know what to read from that. Is it that Joe needs to move on? He was clear with Balotelli so maybe not. So is it that he'll be told where he is within the squad and I suspect it will be a rotational player and is he happy with that role?
I think its a case of keep as squad player unless too good an offer is given for the player. Yes he had a good euros but won't be the first or last that manages that.
I think it suggests Allen needs to decide now. Are you going to sign a new contract, even though I can't gaurantee you a start all season, or would you rather a move? With only. A year left don't want to lose him for nothing so club will look to move him on if he doesn't want to be a squad player and sign a new deal
Joe Allen deserves to play regularly, I do not think he's going to get it at Liverpool. Klopp is going to make him super subs, Joe may not like that. Maybe he is going to walk away for free at the end of his contract. Liverpool do not like that either
Yeah I agree with that. Just add might be a case of sign a contract now to get full value on player in future. He has been a good option to have even though we haven't really seen the best of him sadly, we keep hearing want to stay and fight for my place, but benteke changed his tune quick enough. Assuming that's true obviously, but Allen will have more interested than him for his services. Another thing makes me laugh now days is break club record. Well all prem clubs will be in that situation because of TV deal just stupid lazy journo comment.
There is a place for a super sub at right club though, look at ginge fairclough and ole for that to ring true. Made both of them a name for themselves. Just hope Allen can see that.
True, Allen needs to stop ****ing around and decide what he wants to do. I do like him and I'd sooner sell Henderson and Milner before him but losing Allen wouldn't be a massive loss.
Joe had a decent Euro competition, but no more than that, imo. He still gave the ball away too often. I see nothing to make him a regular starter for us barring injuries to others. If that's not enough for him and he wants to try his luck elsewhere then so be it. I'm off now until Tuesday. Have fun, people.

Hope so. He does have a record of getting players the bigger clubs over look and turning them into great players ie not a star name or branded about in media. PS anyone have highlights of game yesterday as was working and was it on LFC channel? Cheers

everyone is saying he would be a good squad option, do you disagree with that? allen is not a top 4 player,but we are not a top 4 club at mo, he is a top 6 player and we are a top 6 club ish. half our squad is average, but allen is no where near that in my opinion, good option to have, even if sell on value which he needs to sign contract for that to happen.
My opinion is that he's a very good PL player but he doesn't have that something extra that we are looking for so sell while his value is high.
