Upper Wear Dale in the north Pennines or similar. It's literally in the middle of nowhere, but we have seen an absolutely beautiful house in beautiful countryside and seriously thinking of buying it and moving in. I currently live in West Sussex so at least I will be closer to the Sol but have concerns that it will be too quiet?

You need to check a lot of things like sanitation, can you get broadband etc. Some of these remote houses are in an excelent location but the ammenities and utilities are not up to scratch

Yeah, the wife won't do it, I've been showing her places I've found in Thailand, Dubai, Bali etc but she's not interested despite the quality of life we could have abroad.

    Nonsense.

That would be my dream, living in the middle of nowhere. I sometimes wish that everybody would leave this island and leave me here by myself. I'd be well happy with that. **** you all.

Funny how we all differ. I have to be in or near a city.

    Bizarre,
If you are getting to a certain age then you must consider how far you have to travel for hospitals, GPS etc, as they become important as the years roll by.
You have certainly picked a beautiful part of the North if you do move so I wish you good luck.

That's the way I've lived up until recently. I wouldn't go back to it though. I'll only end up in bother, always did.

**** that, the island will be bare. They'll leave me with nothing, not even a rat to feast on.

    Scousers go when you go.

Did I ever tell you I was born in Cheshire, I'm not a Manc or a Scouser, I'll get on the next boat.

The one with all the hot girls.

    See, we're a team...

I'll stay and look after things in the North West, make sure them scousers don't try and creep back in, I'll just need a shed, a catapult and a copy of Escort for the lonely night shifts.

Same, I need to see the world happening.

I'm torn to even move from city centre to house, I'll end up renting out the house. Ha.

My ideal would be to have two houses - one city and one remote (countryside or coast). Decide what mood I'm in , and go to the house that suits.

Hate hustle and bustle! Hate the rat race. I'm not a people person at all, hate crowds. Hate London with a passion!!!!! There's something incredibly dispassionate about towns and cities.

There's nothing better than getting in the car after work, driving a mile up the road and been surrounded by fields and big horizons.
