Our football operations director has quit. **** is going down behind closed doors. In addition of potentially not having a manager to identify targets, we've got nobody to negotiate the pissing deals. All is not well at Sunderland. FFS.

Aye, just saw your comment on the big same thread.

Stinks on the transfer budget/wage budget being changed or broken promises.

    Shambles this, absolute shambles.

It's a complete wild guess, but my first thought was he'll be pissed off working under Ellis' tight budgets.

Well if he was involved in the recruitment process he was doing really well so why quit?

It's impulsive thing to think. We're in a right mess.

Allardyce’s attempts to reinforce his squad in January have already led him to travel quite widely, both domestically and across Europe, in pursuit of new players. Should he secure his targets over the coming weeks Margaret Byrne, Sunderland’s chief executive, and Ryan Sachs, the club secretary, will take care of contract negotiations.

That was from 20 december 2015 after congerton was placed on gardening leave

    Nutter <laugh>

What if the FA end up choosing somebody else? He's done nowt wrong either <laugh>

It's Ellis I think is the problem, but nobody will say it. He obviously keeps going back on promises to his managers. Poyet talked about being frustrated with transfers, Advocaat hinted towards money not being there that he was promised and now even Sam is talking about being frustrated with transfers. He's the man at the top, so he should be fired at.

They will, not only that I'll called the new England Manager a bastard. As will the rest of the country when England crash out of another Tournament. I'm just getting in their nice and early. <laugh>

I think Ellis has been the biggest problem but the consensus is he can do no wrong. The has to be a point where gratitude ends and questions are asked. We can't just remain in debt for an eternity while we're **** on. Well I can't, I stopped feeling in his debt a long time ago.

So do it in the middle of a Transfer window? Nah, not buying it. Something has gone down I reckon.
