It's certainly not clear to you. You make out that a country just has to apply and they will be automatically accepted.
Tell Turkey that it's their choice not to join .... and Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.

I don't think you even are aware of your own post.

I’mBetterThanYouIWentTo.. said: “how many countries with a predominantly white population require a visa for the purpose of their visit before their citizens can even board a flight or ferry bound for the UK?” #9533

You don’t seem to understand that the only country who would require a visa for entering the UK would be the UK.
People don’t get a visa from their own country when they want to enter the UK.
The UK doesn’t require their own citizens to have a visa before entering the UK.

You're getting close. I am interested in reading other peoples views, it's why I laugh when tobes talks of winning and losing, when he doesn't know what the "game" is. If all I'm doing is wanting to read others views, then I'm achieving that, despite his and your attempts to disrupt it.

So you're claiming that the migrants and politicians I've quoted are bigoted too? Did you notice the article I posted that said "To call the existing policy racist would be an exaggeration."

Can you see how that kind of screws up the claims for my position?

Turkey is only partially in Europe. They are allowed to apply - as are the other countries.

To be given full access they have to fulfill certain condition, both financial and political.

Serbia, Albania, Macedonia are very recent independent states. The first two especially have big corruption and discrimination problems.

The point is that being geographically in Europe they are allowed to apply for access to the EU, or to join as a full member. That does not apply to those who are not within Europe.

Montenegro is on the verge of full accession to the EU.

    Your position being;

The current EU immigration policy discriminates against people of colour - post #6860

You posted a piece from IDS ffs, he's got to try and put a positive spin on it, he ignored the fact that immigration cap was Tory set btw. But no-one has argued against the premise that post Brexit immigration could show a positive, what we've called bullshit on is the above statement, that you're still standing by....

You said: “It's open to all those countries of Europe who choose to apply to join. If some choose not to, that's their perogative. They are not being denied access, it's their choice not to join!” #9583

Now you say: “To be given full access they have to fulfill certain condition, both financial and political.” #9605

Is it their choice not to join? Yes or no?

Yes, the ability to apply is there as they are countries with Europe. Certain requirements have to be fulfilled before being accepted.

Other European countries such as Switzerland, Norway, choose not to join. That is their perogative.

The whole point of this nonsensical argument is basically that the EU is racist because all the European countries have predominantly white populations.

... I would never doubt anything that IDS says ... well, not unless it was in relation to his educational qualifications or his wife's salary paid from public funds whilst he was leader of the Tories ...of course <laugh>

So now your stance is not that they are allowed to join. Your stance is that they are allowed to apply. Joining and applying are two different things as I am sure you are aware .... well maybe not as you weren't aware that the European Union and Europe were two different things.

Of course they're two different things. Where have I said otherwise.

To call a treaty amongst countries of an entire continent, that happens to be predominantly white, as it has been for millennia, racist, is complete and utter bollocks.

The EU makes it possible for any country geographically within Europe to apply for membership.

So they can apply to join but it may take many years to join, if at all?
They are not being denied access, but they can't join immediately so they are denied access until they are allowed to join?
