Slovakia international Martin Skrtel has passed a medical with Fenerbahce ahead of his proposed move from Liverpool, the Turkish club have confirmed.
The 31-year-old defender, who had been at Anfield for eight-and-a-half years, passed a medical on Wednesday morning.
Skrtel has made 320 appearances for the Reds in eight seasons since joining them from Zenit St Petersburg in January 2008 but last term he appeared just 27 times in 63 games.

Hope he gets the respect he deserves from our fans.

He's been a great loyal servant for years and although had some dips in form he's been a very good person to have around. People seem to forgot he's been player of the season before and also managed to play every game for about 3 seasons running (iirc).

Hope he does well with his move and hopefully he'll come back and watch us from time to time.
