You're the one being petty, the comment was clearly directed at me as you quoted my post. You told me he hadn't failed a medical with us and then pointed to Austin and Boyd as players who failed medicals and were then fine. Why you want to continue arguing this is beyond me, but perhaps you should take this to another thread if you have some desire to.
I thought you were using Harry as an example to illustrate why playing a third of a season is 'hardly playing' in your opinion.
You're right, apologies, you only made reference to my description of him right after a post I had made. Not sure how I took it as directed at me, I'm clearly wrong. Moving on.
No. Why dont you actually read back what my post was about instead of guessing? It's really quite clear.
I did. You're being incredibly confusing. I suggested Powell had barely played. It was observed that he had played a third of the games over the last two years. You responded saying 'It's personal opinion, Maguire played more than that and he barely played in my opinion'. You then clarified that you did indeed draw the comparison to suggest that only playing a third of the games in two years is 'barely playing'. Am I missing something vital here?
Sometimes I feel like people deliberately engage in circular discussions like the above for the sake of it. I'm not suggesting I'm never at fault for debates on this site, but I mean, seriously...
Apologies, that was a post I was going to reply to yesterday but thought **** it and closed the page, didn't mean to post it today!
Yes you are. I replied to a point Lewisc29 made, who replied to my post about someone hardly ever playing, which was not about Powell. Just another example of you not reading something properly and making your own assumption about what it's about...
It was initially in his post replying to me, as he's just clarified he meant to post it yesterday about someone else. An honest mistake on everyone's part.
Likely that we dodged a bullet but not definitely as Charlie Austin failed his medical at our place and Jimmy Bullshit passed his demonstrating quite sadly for us that they can be got well wrong
I think everything you get wrong is an honest mistake, I dont think you deliberately get the wrong end of the stick and make up arguments.
Generally. I've started one or two for the sake of it, but I do generally just engage in discussion because, well, I like discussing football, that's why any of us are here. In this case I did read his post with that comment about 'He played a third of the season' and as it was part of a post directed at me, clearly mistakenly believed he was referring to Powell. I didn't realise it had been erroneously included until he pointed it out. All makes sense now.
its the 'off season', people are just looking for an argument. roll on September when the season is up and going.
109 pages of absolutely nothing. I think this thread was started too early. I dont think SB has many 'irons in the fire' this time.
