"If we aren't arguing then I'm glad, we agree that Powell had no future here." This is petty point scoring, I've already made it clear that I was perfectly happy for us to sign him.

The point is, that you take comments not directed at you, as being arguments with you, as you seem desperate to find arguments wherever you can. You argue more than any other poster on the board, while claiming it's never your fault.

You're the one being petty, the comment was clearly directed at me as you quoted my post. You told me he hadn't failed a medical with us and then pointed to Austin and Boyd as players who failed medicals and were then fine. Why you want to continue arguing this is beyond me, but perhaps you should take this to another thread if you have some desire to.

No.

Why dont you actually read back what my post was about instead of guessing? It's really quite clear.

I did. You're being incredibly confusing. I suggested Powell had barely played. It was observed that he had played a third of the games over the last two years. You responded saying 'It's personal opinion, Maguire played more than that and he barely played in my opinion'. You then clarified that you did indeed draw the comparison to suggest that only playing a third of the games in two years is 'barely playing'. Am I missing something vital here?

Sometimes I feel like people deliberately engage in circular discussions like the above for the sake of it. I'm not suggesting I'm never at fault for debates on this site, but I mean, seriously...

Personal opinion. I'd say Harry hardly ever plays, there was paper-talk of him wanting to jump ship for not getting enough game time, but he played a bigger percentage of our games last year.
Apologies, that was a post I was going to reply to yesterday but thought **** it and closed the page, didn't mean to post it today!

Yes you are. I replied to a point Lewisc29 made, who replied to my post about someone hardly ever playing, which was not about Powell.

Just another example of you not reading something properly and making your own assumption about what it's about... <whistle>

Our highest earner is probably Hernandez and he's on just short of 40k. I believe the next highest was Huddlestone but I don't know what the renegotiated terms were. He was on around 28k a week. But that's just their basic wage, it doesn't take into account things like appearance fees, sub appearances and bonuses, which all come out of the wage budget. All players will have stuff like that, even the youth players.

You've seen their pay slips?

It was initially in his post replying to me, as he's just clarified he meant to post it yesterday about someone else. An honest mistake on everyone's part.

I think everything you get wrong is an honest mistake, I dont think you deliberately get the wrong end of the stick and make up arguments.

Generally. I've started one or two for the sake of it, but I do generally just engage in discussion because, well, I like discussing football, that's why any of us are here. In this case I did read his post with that comment about 'He played a third of the season' and as it was part of a post directed at me, clearly mistakenly believed he was referring to Powell. I didn't realise it had been erroneously included until he pointed it out. All makes sense now. :)

109 pages of absolutely nothing.
I think this thread was started too early.
I dont think SB has many 'irons in the fire' this time.
