No, it's you seeing nasty EU demons that don't exist.

Let's wait until they get around to asking then? If they're ever in a position to do so, I'd bet very heavily that they will be soundly defeated!...

A points system could still allow some form of favouritism toward EU workers or students in the same way the points could be loaded in favour of other nations we deal with. I think people would accept that as a concession as it allows us to encourage the entry of people with skills we need.

Don't hold your breath waiting for them to ask. They haven't bothered so far and they already influence national decisions on things like border control, benefits systems, banking and finance. They've produced their strategy for a federal EU army. I don't see the riots you're expecting opposing the lack of a vote.

May is going to appoint a Brexit 'Tsar' to oversee negotiations. It's an old political trick so that when she can't deliver what she's telling people she wants, the Tsar will get the blame for that. Not her!

I edited my reply, but that answer hasn't been forthcoming so far, and the evidence seems to suggest that your gut feeling may not be accurate.

Perhaps relying on far right media isn't the best way to get a balanced view.

    That wont work.
May would be expected to step in if the talks weren't going the way she wanted.

I don't know who that was aimed at, but if it was aimed at me, I don't rely on any one particular view point. I look to see what several areas point to, consider it with my own experience, and then look to see what is actually happening.

Others seem to be arguing from gut feeling and denial of what can be seen.

She'd still step in and not allow anybody else to get the blame.

I don't know which side of the left v right argument I'd fall on. It seems limiting and grossly over simplistic to me to have ideals that have to be wholly one or the other or to be dismissive of a view simply and for no other reason than because it's from "the other" side.

If anything, I actively seek out views that oppose mine, to try to get a wider understanding. I'm quite happy to refine my view if the situation changes, or new evidence is shown.

They all have their political views, but yes the Telegraph or The guardian would be more believable than the jingoistic bollocks spouted by the Excess!
