Try Hotel Venus Suites in Kalamaki its nice there mate out of the town on a road down to the beach really look after you well we go regular.
Forgot to say just book a flight to Zante the hotel will pick you up from the airport its only about 10 minutes.
Majorca a few weeks back now, really like the island but we go to quiet places, only a 2 hour hop on the plane. The sea, sand & sun is just like anywhere else. Cant see the point of going to the Dom Rep to sit on the beach 24/7 when you can do just the same in somewhere like Majorca? Off down to Devon with daughter and grand kids in August for a week then Turkey in November with the boys, yes golfing. Looking at Crete next year for a little history and of course beach.
I was gonna ask if there were any posters who had been that could advise of somewhere quiet with nice sandy beaches etc?
I can't comment on the beaches mate. It is 3 or 4 years since we were there and it might have had a big upgrade (I'd check if you're considering it as an option) but the place was tired and well in need of a lift. But I've heard lovely things about the island from others. I'm not sure I'd be looking at the Greek Islands for a while anyway, given current circumstances.
We went about 20 years ago to Rethymnon, wife wants to go back? Might try and influence her to go somewhere else where we aint been.
Greek islands are still ok no problems in the resorts Nice beaches in skiathos, thasoss, two islands Stalis in Crete but commercial. South Crete makrilos, mirtles, don't know about the beaches there Many nice places in Crete. Also fly to hania in Crete research before you go any where
Yes but you could pick winkles & mussels when the tide is out & have them really fresh. Seriously though, Seaburn has a cracking beach.
This year so far I have worked in: Beijing, KL, Punta del este (Uruguay), Buenos Aries, Mexico City, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast, LA, Las Vegas, Paris, Berlin and Hong Kong. I am just glad to be home for a while.
