Austin failed a medical for us and passed one for QPR, what's your point? I commented on his medical at Wolves.
My point is/was that failing one medical does not always mean a bullet has been dodged, one physicians opinion can vary from another's considerably and only time will tell who is correct.

EDIT..........he may have passed your medical too if given one, would that have been a bullet dodged or dodgy doctors?

Sure. How many games did he miss through injury when he was with us? How many did he miss in the preceding few years? The fact that he then also failed a medical before passing one at a club that was clearly quite keen to get him back doesn't change my opinion at all. Time has told us what his body is like.

What did he fail the medical on?
Don't know how many games he played for Wigan last year but to have got 12 goals he must have played a lot because he is not a prolific goal scorer.

He was at Wigan in 2013-14, in the last 2 years he's barely played.

What were the injuries, were they persistent muscle/tendon injuries or were they knocks/sprains/breaks etc?

He has had hamstring issues for a number of years, as well as groin, so a lot of soft tissue issues. I haven't looked into what he failed his medical for, but the fact he failed a medical is more the underline to the point rather than the evidence of it. The evidence is the last two years.

Fair enough <ok>

Not really a sign of persistent/recurring injury.

Why are you so persistent with this? It's been widely documented he has struggled with hamstring issues for more than 2 years now. It's really not something that can be debated.

And then we signed him and...

Powell missed a full season with a hamstring strain and his time with us would suggest that it's a problem that still isn't sorted, but he's a young lad, writing him off completely as a 'sick note' is just lazy.

It's not lazy, it's an accurate description of his injury record. This is one of the weirder points to pick an argument over. He failed a medical, has spent two years out with hamstring injuries, including with us, barely strung two games together for us (in fact, did he ever start in the league for us?) and has signed with a club only just promoted to the Championship. If we're disappointed we missed out then we're in trouble.

<laugh> I'm not arguing with anyone, I just gave my opinion.

You do realise that Diego started the argument, it was then resolved, and you then started it up again knowing full well I'd respond, and even when I tried dropping it you continued? <doh>
I think the problem is when you 'try dropping it', that consists of claiming your point is correct and that's the end of it. That's not dropping anything.

Playing a third of the total games isn't hardly ever plaing/

My point was correct. Powell has been injured for virtually the past two years. OLM said he wasn't arguing, so I merely pointed out that that meant we were in agreement. I was not arguing with him. :)

Now we're arguing over the concept of arguing. What fun.

Diego was silly to raise the issue at all. Argumentative sod.

"If we aren't arguing then I'm glad, we agree that Powell had no future here." This is petty point scoring, I've already made it clear that I was perfectly happy for us to sign him.

The point is, that you take comments not directed at you, as being arguments with you, as you seem desperate to find arguments wherever you can. You argue more than any other poster on the board, while claiming it's never your fault.

Personal opinion. I'd say Harry hardly ever plays but he played a bigger percentage of our games last year.

When we're in agreement there's some serious **** going down.

Interesting that Sane seems to be quite close to being done, supposedly, when Bruce said nothing was close a couple of days ago.
