How many twitter accounts or whatever they judge new support on these days did City gain from the Premier League roadshow in India when we paraded ourselves as Hull Tigers ? I heard the Hull Tigers facebook page had 30 something followers from India, possibly down to single figures now. Hardly a roaring success. Meanwhile our local fanbase is getting whittled down and perhaps a little more effort should be put into rebuilding bridges with the local population before we attempt to conquer the rest of the world ?
Interesting post - although, bearing in mind the forum currency, the apostrophe mistakes et al obviously negates its value.
For the kind of money being discussed I am not sure that buying us is a good idea for an American. For that kind of money they could buy an MLS expansion team, the city would pay for the brand new stadium, the team would always make a profit and they could never be relegated. It they want to buy us for strictly business purposes Im not sure its actually a good idea.
The two are not comparable, owning a Premier League team gives you enormous international exposure, owning an MLS team gives you none.
Leaving aside the obvious need to point out the bleeding obvious, why say ‘usually co-authors of a scientific paper’? I also congratulate you for being a genuinely interesting person.
It obviously wasn't bleeding obvious to you, or you wouldn't have used the term wrongly. I gave a correct example to help you understand how to use et al in the future and to help others too. You're welcome.
Personally, taking into account previous form, if there was nothing at all doing post the Allams self imposed deadline, they would announce it.
Calm down alte kaempfer. On behalf of the board, I thank you for your pedagogical vision. I’ll certainly benefit from it hence forth, and so will my children. Why say ‘usually co-authors of a scientific paper’?
Definition. Et al. is a Latin abbreviation that means 'and others'. It's used in place of names for the purpose of saving time and space when providing in-text citations. For example: 'Jones et al. were surprised by the company's success.'
I think some people on here need to realise that there are posters on here of a certain age that don't have the minutes to waste it takes to read this utter ****e and if they want a cock waving contest on grammar they need to **** off somewhere else
Define a certain age? Trout was behaving like a pretentious twat to another poster, that is why I corrected him.
an interesting perspective, I can't see why anyone would buy a PL team for money (other than Man U / Arsenal) as even though the income is nuts, the outgoings required to remain a PL team are equally as nuts, football teams just don't really make a great deal of money. There are certainly much easier and safer ways to invest, so there has to be some kind of passion for football attached to a bid.
I would suggest that anyone with the probability of over half their life has already happened.....correct someone by all means but use the pm facility as correcting grammar is as dull as it gets and the rest of us don't care
