With Russian-Jewish ancestry, I was born in London during the late 1940s
I formed a folk band during the 60s; we had one Top 40 hit, and we made one appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show
My theatre work has gained four Tony Award nominations thus far, and I’ve appeared in films with the likes of Samuel L. Jackson and Jennifer Garner
I am a type 1 diabetic and a homosexual; I married my partner, an artist, last year

I was born in the USA to a pair of actors, during the mid 1920s
My burgeoning screen career was put on hold while I served with the US Army in the Philippines
I appeared in big budget films with the likes of Bogart and Heston, but I eventually found myself typecast as a dashing hero or dastardly villain in B-movies and costume dramas
I directed three of my four wives in movies, and I even photographed my fourth wife for nude spreads in magazines

With German and French ancestry, I was born in the USA during the 1970s
My parents divorced when I was nine, leaving my mother to raise me and my four siblings; I studied broadcast journalism before pursuing an acting career
My big break came in kids’ shows such as Saved by the Bell; I’ve appeared in two superhero franchises, been nominated for SAG and Saturn Awards, and modelled for Versace
Amid rumours that I'd cheated on her, my songwriter wife left me after more than a decade of marriage; we have two children together

Ponders, as you know I hate being pedantic, but I'm pretty sure John Derek photographed three of his wives naked for playboy, not just his last wife.

One of three siblings, I was born in East Anglia during the early 1990s
I was working in a supermarket and doing a bit of web design when my first acting break came along; I played a tree in an RSC production
I’ve since worked with great directors such as Spielberg and Mike Newell; I just missed out on a starring role in The Hunger Games; and I once contracted trench foot
The British Army rejected me because I am a type 1 diabetic; I’ve shunned the Hollywood lifestyle, preferring to live quietly in northwest London

With Scottish ancestry, I was born in London during the late 1920s
I worked as a secretary, electoral registrar and stockroom attendant before gaining a design apprenticeship
Favouring restrained elegance, I was known to ignore fashion fads of the day; my regular clients included Lauren Bacall, Joanna Lumley and Charlotte Rampling
I was awarded a CBE during the 80s, and an archive collection of my fashion is on show at a Scottish museum

One of seven children, I was born in South Asia during the early 1940s
I left the diplomatic service, and a comfortable life in Switzerland, to enter British politics as a prospective parliamentary candidate in the West Country
I testified as a witness at the trial of Slobodan Milosevic; I held the position of High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, but I turned down the post of Northern Ireland Secretary
I am a lord; I am fluent in Mandarin; and I regularly attend Yeovil Town F.C matches
