Yeah it wouldn't surprise me if Janssen starts the first few games of the season, Kane hasn't had a proper rest for two years now, what with U21 duty last year and Euro duty this, so a bit of extra time recovery will do him and us good. Plus it'll give Janssen the opportunity to hit the ground running, something I think he'll relish based on his positive comments recently.

As for Gotze, it'd send a massive statement of intent to the rest of the league and Europe if we were able to nab him, I think it's unlikely but I'm not completely ruling it out. There's a lot at Spurs now that can make a player of his ability feel persuaded to be a part of; we're young, exciting, good spirit and we have CL football to offer as well. Wages could be a problem, I'm not sure what he earns at Bayern but then that's where Levy will have to work his magic.

Filip Lesniak has joined Slovan Liberec on loan until January.
The 20-year-old defensive midfielder returns to his home county of the Czech Republic to gain experience in their top tier.
The club finished 3rd last season and will play in the 3rd qualifying phase of the Europa League.

Considering Shandong only went professional 22 years ago, I can't imagine how much the poor lad suffered for the first 8 Xmasses of his life - how did he fill the gaping void?!
