Whilst we would all like 1 or 2 quality signings big Sam has said he would like to see 3 or 4 for Sunderland but the problem is overpricing in the market and that £10 million players are now costing £20 million and £20 million players are costing £60-80 million. We are in the same position and may be why we are waiting until nearer the close of the transfer window when perhaps selling clubs will accept lower offers. The higher prices may be a good thing in the long run as it will encourage clubs like ours to develop their own players.

West Ham were fighting with us to sign Gomis when we signed him . When Newcastle tried to sign him in January , the only thing that stopped him from going is .....US. Same with Sunderland . Marseille are looking to get a player, they know has goals in him, and only pay 30 % of his wages . IMO. we should have ditched him in January .
