Off Topic Music, Favourite B Sides?

**** me we've got a Babyshambles fan. I believe Down in Albion to be one of the best body of works since the turn of the century. It's a ****ing magnificent album.

 

****ing love them mate thought it was just a bit more raw than Libertines (who I also loved).

Rarely will a pissed night with the lads not end with **** Forever on the balcony pissing off my neighbours. Haha.

 

Have you read Kids in the Riot: High and Low with the Libertines? Think you'd love it. Ultimate coffee table book.

Can't not love the Libertines intros.

 

Most of it is written by Carl and Pete. Quoted out to the eyeballs mate, their versions often conflict throughout the book, but that's half the fun of the read.

 

Last post on the bugle intro is ****ing magic like.

And then the drum/handclaps drop in the middle.

Whenever you see Carl or Pete talking it's always, always gold mate.

It's a part of my life this tune for many reasons!

 

They love and hate each other in equal measure. Like the old married couple of rock and roll.

 

Like all the great pairings mate. Like any one of the good lasses we ever had or top pals.

It's the way it has to be.

 

If you're listening to it quietly, you're not listening to it properly i say.

 

If you can listen to it and not belt out at least the chorus you have no soul mate.

This is a proper lads night after party track like. Proper.

 

Actually, before we go back to the B Sides. I'm posting this too.

 

****ing talent mate. Raw talent. Didn't matter that his voice was ****, didn't matter that sometimes the music felt detached from the vocals.

Just ****ing brilliant man.
