You would have to assume wouldn't you, that if Bruce hadn't spoken to potential new owners with such an open 'contempt' for the penis extension that he would have walked. A manager who got a club re-promoted, held in high regard by his contemporaries, he could have just sat tight until November when the merry go round was in full swing. There's a risk in signing Powell but with his ability it's a risk worth taking, Very worrying that the manager whos opinion should matter most of all thought so too and has been over ruled by a self admitted non football person.
